THe temperatures in MARS vary rapidly during the day (its day is less than earth day). Say in a matter of few Earth hours, the temperatures change from 25'c to -40'c. When it is farthest away from sun, the band could be 35'c to -150'c.
This has been going on in FB for long, some saying Winnipeg, some sayin Chicago, to some Helsinki colder that Mars. They did not read science in their school properly. Temp of Mars goes down to -150 degC near the equator.
