Can a woman be booked for molesting another woman?
by Sasidharan Nair on Feb 28, 2014 12:42 PM

The term "molest" stands for pester or harass in a hostile way or assault sexually. It is not a gender based offense unlike the one to be ascribed under section 498-A as defined under IPC. Therefore, any sort of assault or harassment of pestering shall attract the terminology "molestation" without cast or creed or gender discrimination. So,it is an offense punishable without such bias or discrimination.
Be it just be a humanly committed crime without giving any physical observations for that matter.
