MODI AS PM
by r subramanian on May 16, 2014 08:18 AM  | Hide replies

Yes, as of now he seems to be the right candidate to be the PM and should be given a chance to prove himself. Hopefully, there will be some relief from the scam full administration.

What has been his performance in four and half years. Except to promote his image he has practically done practically nothing for development of country.Whole BJP and all media is engaged by this Govt to promote Modi and Modi only.BJP must analyse and think of some other better and mature candidate for next elections so atht if they win the lections the country gets better person as PM, who is more mature and development oriented.

Those who do not find anything positive done by Modi after he became PM are blind to realities. He was the first person to appoint SIT to go into black money, as repeatedly said by Supreme Court and as the previous UPA government which revelled in scams sat silent on this matter. Then the free supply of gas cylinders in place of smoking choolaas for crores of women in the country is the development which readers like this cannot appreciate. Modi raised considerably the image of the country among the comity of world nations. He has stopped corruption at the ministerial level - a thing which is anathema for the UPA. The UPA PM had indulged in questionable allocation of coal blocks and such allocation was struck down by the Hon'ble Court. Shame on those who tomtom in public that BJP/NDA government has not performed.

Media's role & Foreign Business inteteres in this case
by Aravind Raman on Mar 06, 2014 10:15 AM  | Hide replies

Truly a heart rending story. I remember forming quick impressions on this former scientist based on the news covered by the media at that point in tine. The same media does not report cogently when the case is cleared or when the concerned person is cleared. I feel this should change.

The other more important aspect is business interest of foreign countries which could have played a crucial role in somehow implicating a scientist working on a nascent technology. The scientist's version of time taken to succeed in Liquid Propulsion System finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel is a case in point.

Modi seems more interested in countering Shreekumar the Police officer engaged in investigation of Gujrat roits. The ISRO scientist case howevr has taken more time and police should have taken less time to finalize investigations so that his innocence could be proved timely.

You please tell this to Rahul whose UPA government was in office for ten years before Modi took over. What did UPA do to help Nambi Narayanan?

His case seems to be good. But saying that India will be safe in Modi's hands is a political statement

It is politicians who allowed the torture of Nambi. Why should not then Nambi make a political statement supporting MOdi?

You deserve all the respect
by Rajagopal KR on Mar 05, 2014 09:05 PM  | Hide replies

Dear D. Nambi Narayanan, you deserve all the respect from entire nation. I personally always have high regards for our scientists. May be the 'time' had wronged you. Unfortunately, our political leaders are unable to find time to understand the case. Let me wish you Dr. Nambi Narayanan, all your mental agony will vanish shortly and very soon you will receive all respects from national leaders whether it's Modiji or Soniaji!

Soniaji? Why did she not help this scientist during the regime of UPA? Soniaji will help some one only if she could get some benefit - like club class free passes from Kingfisher.

It is heart rendering to read an episode of this type. We should never allow governance to go this level of individual harassment. The country needs to be put on a path where the state does not develop a villainous attitude and is able to make self correction.
