Agreed
by Shailendra Sharma on Feb 24, 2014 08:10 PM

Agreed.
And a pat to AK for raising voice.
But what is the guarantee that after elections he does not give a lame excuse and turn his back.
As I have noticed he takes up 1 thing speak loud against it.. and then as soon as he picks up another thing, he leaves the first one.
Moreover there needs to be a plan/vision and he shud stick firmly to that, only then results will come.
Logical end is also necessary.
People shud not call it a political gimmick.

First Let CAG complete the Audit
by vadivudaiselvi on Feb 24, 2014 08:09 PM

First proof for the mega loot is that Neither the consortium nor the Govt corrupt politicians are allowing the CAG to complete the KG basin GAS audit,if it happens all the gold plating will come out and the exact amount spent won't go beyond $4 bn as per the contractors own initial quote, million dollor question is why the govt is not intreste in completing the audit, intentionally the corrupt corporate and politician are delaying the audit and delaying the legal case also to confuse the judiciary, now it has become evident it is a mega loot of about $5 - 8 lac crores of indian public money.

Simple Gas is our resource.
by vadivudaiselvi on Feb 24, 2014 07:56 PM  | Hide replies

Simple logic The Natural gas is national resource,Pvt Consortium is a contractor, either let them get the Quoted price of $ 2.34 or let the CAG audit the expenditure incured by the consotium and fix a cost plus 20% max over the expenditure ,this is very simple in this wher comes the international hub price bla bla etc. The gas loot is the mega loot by the corporates of the nation which may cost the nation about more than 5 Lac Crores. one thing is clear no political power has got the guts and will to serve the public by taking on these corrupt corporates.
Simple BP became a partner when the production is decreasing, are they fool to become partner to in a no reserve basin,it is all joint cheating for which only arwind like pple can save the nation and its resources.

Why the central govt has taken decision to raise LPG price just double from April 2014?. Why in every time common people are being victimised by increasing prices of LPG,kerosine, petrol etc. Because, govt has no hold on the millionaire /big fishes/industrialist of the country. It's a shame.

Politics of hydrocarbons
by Loknathan on Feb 24, 2014 06:25 PM

What is happening is not surprising. Let alone India, the petroleum lobby is very strong in US, Russia and other countries. George Bush coming from Texas was a creation of oil lobby and it is well known in US that Iraq was invaded at the behest of the neocons acting for the oil lobby. In Russia, Vladimir Putin has put behind bars for 10 years Mikhail Khodorkovsky the owner of Yukos a big oil company in Europe. The company was eventually taken away from Khodorkovsky. All the developing countries go through a stage when oligarchs like Mukesh Amabani not only control the natural resources but also call the shots in the government. Oil is a big money and the likes of Moily and Deora are only small frys.

natural resources for people
by abdul shakib on Feb 24, 2014 06:17 PM

What a shame, while every Indian has a share on the natural resources but the politicians along with Industrialist play a different ball game.... No wonder why qualified skilled pros are moving out of India as they see that the Business class rules their lives.. There are many coountries who have used the resources for betterment of their people..they value lives

Gas price.
by c subramaniam on Feb 24, 2014 06:09 PM

Have some common sense. Look back the history. Have any one see such a double price rise for steel, cement, gold, wood, or any other important commodity. How Ambani's can run with double loss. It is definite, that Ambani has got all the politicians and price fixing committee members in his pocket. Hardly 20% price rise is acceptable.

Why Ambani getting ore richer
by brijmohan singh negi on Feb 24, 2014 05:15 PM

Be it BJP or Congress, ambani is always at advantage. On one hand he generated employment but on the other hand he flouted all rules and made hay using licence raj and now completely going for oil and gas as he knows herre the natural resources are free and politicians can be greased. Had ambanis worke with little ethics and compassion things would have been different and better than today. He is accumulating land, energy resources, the day is not far when he will give loan to indian government and reap all benefits from the common foolish peoples who still ar electing corrupt politicians. Rise AAM AADMI RISE
