At least, Sachin had some contribution in the field of sports. What is the contribution of both Rajiv Gandhi and Indira Gandhi for India. It is given to them as if it is their family property.

Sachin deserves the Award.But the govt could have waited for some time and given the same along with Dhan Chand.It appeared as if the Congress was just waiting with the Award on his retirement.
When so many people were conferred the Award posthumously one deserving person of this Award was the Greatest Singer India has produced Mohammed Rafi but unfortunately even after the death of the legend 33 years ago,the callous govt has not responded.

The Bharat Ratna would never be the same. Our shameless politicians downgraded the Award and insulted it. There are many other deserving persons better than Mr. Sachin Tendulkar who never got it. They make made a mockery of the the Bharat Ratna Award. In that case you must have the award to Mr. Kapil Dev who made it popular in India. Hockey magician late Mr. Dyan Chand, Mr. Milkha Singh, Ms. PT Usha, etc. would have conferred the prestigious award. What is cricket a colonial game left by the British monarchy wherever they conquered? The lazy lords and aristocrats of the British want to kill time and spend lift lavishly with the looted money from their colony. Actually we should ban cricket which is making many people corrupt and during match period the output of the country is affected. Grow up Indians from the petty politics.

A guy who devoted his life to a team sport which make the Indians proud...tell me what have u ever done for your country. Because of people like you India despite of so much of talent is still behind than those developed country.

Cricket is not a world sport and is played in only about 5 copuntries and another 5 few lessser ones!!! What has Sachin done for the growth of the country and he has done it based on other 10 players support!!! Socres wise what is the big difference with Dravid who also would have socred maore runs than Sachin if chances were given to him as was given to sachin!!!How does sachin qualify for Bharatratna?? Guys like prakash ladukone,Viswanath anand ,pt usha,paes etc who sigle handedly have taken India through their respective sport into the world and have made and inspired many to play these games,which are orphaned!!!
What criteria decides honour ?? we the people don't know.. shocking is that vidya balan gets Padma award.. how ??? this thing decreases the value of awards. if the criteria is success in your field, than from famous vada pav wala to amitabh bacchan lacs of people are famous and successful in their work.

This is poitical award thus Major Dyanchand and his family are not the member of Con-gress thus he is ignored for this.... So simple
