BJP indulging in 'zeher ki kheti' and instigating violence: Sonia
by Anand YNI on Feb 02, 2014 08:57 PM

So said Sonia'

"We are also concerned about the removal of poverty and bringing self-respect to the poor. We are concerned about fostering brotherhood and maintaining peace in society. Therefore, we are in a position to speed up development."

She forgot to add, "We will continue to do so eternally until all the poor of this country are eliminated instead of poverty!"

Singapore model of religous plurism Vs India model religous divis
by Sameer Shaikh on Feb 02, 2014 12:43 PM  | Hide replies

Instead of allowing religious diversity to divide people, we should use religion to bring people of different faiths together, says the Minister of State for Community Development and Sports Yaacob Ibrahim.

Singapore is a multi-religious country due to its diverse ethnic mix of peoples originating from various countries. Most of the key religious denominations are represented in Singapore and religious tolerance is promoted by the government.

Since independence, the Republic’s racial and religious harmony has been held up as a model for other countries to emulate. Now, a set of indicators — co-created by the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) and OnePeople.sg — will make it possible to track the state of racial and religious relations.
The Singapore state does not interfere with the beliefs of its citizens and each
individual is free to practise his/her faith. What the state has done,
instead, is to ensure that no religious community is involved in politics.
Politicisation of religion is considered the major threat to the Singapore
model of religious pluralism. The state monitors and regulates religious
freedom on the realistic assumption that religious harmony cannot be taken
for granted. It has to be maintained through a diverse range of government
inputs including pre-emptive measures to see to it that social cohesion and
harmony are not jeopardised.

On the whole, Singapore’s approach to prevent radicalisation of society is
to actively engage with the religious communities, maintain close link with
their organisations and allow unrestricted religious freedom to them, yet
put limits to such freedom when national interest is adversely affected. In
this connection, the government overruled the wearing of headscarves by
minor Muslim girls in government schools, asserting that all children must
wear the same uniform and learn to mix with each other. However, at
university level, Muslim girls are free to wear the headscarf. The
assumption is that as grownups they have consciously chosen to wear the
headgear and, therefore, it is an expression of free choice by a person who
has already been groomed to appreciate and internalise the Singaporean
approach to multiculturalism.

The principle is that communal harmony and peace are paramount and enjoyment
of human rights can be qualified and restricted with a view to maintaining
communal amity Thus, The Satanic Verses by Salman Rushdie was banned because
the book was considered scurrilous to Islam. The government also banned
Martin Scorsese’s ‘The Last Temptation of Christ’ because Christian
sentiments were hurt by it. Such proactive monitoring of freedom of religion
and expression has earned Singapore the reputation of an authoritarian
regime, but the government defends its policies by arguing that the overall
advantages from such regulation of freedoms has been greater than the
disadvantages of selectively restricting some freedoms.

And What is India's model of religious pluraism?
1) Congress blames BJP, RSS, VHP, and fakely sympathies minority of false promises
2) Shiv Sena gives welcome and party ticket to Babu Bajrangi who was main primary instigator and conspirator in godhra
Azam Khan and some mufti after given financial perks distorts facts and instigate people to follow wrong path
Raj Thackeray says only marathi are pride of maharashtra and north indians specially bihari are responsible for maharashtra.

India still is deeply divided in regional and religious trap. Indian states of division was created by british raj and legacy coontinued by beloved politicians of india. Same trend is followed since 1947 where religion is an agenda for vote

Well, in a muslim gathering she has no other option but to criticise Modi. Let him to the heartland of UP and talk like this. The entire crowd will walk of her meetings. Moreover, she was parroting from a prepared text. She cannot speak extempore and she does not have that capacity.

Congress is a disastrous and main responsible party that has brought Indian towards populations explosion and extreme poverty, inflation, current suffering and economic and social disaster.

But BJP too had its share of hand for bringing India towards religious division.

Unless there is a change in constitution the country will go deep in trouble because the most poison in Indian media sans monitoring believes in the concept of market place of ideas funded by christian missionaries, corporates, political parties and businessmen so where ever the wind blows they make people believe in them and instead of producing harmonious environment it has time to time led to hatred and bloodshed. This was said by legendary Lee Keun Yew.

Even the editors in rediff knows that media is puppet in hands of politicians and a medium to publish their PR. The prime example is Modi

It means whenever there is a blast the media is told or paid to blame directly on IM. first it was ISI.This way they distort public and create division. Although there are some instances where news is true. Media is not wrong when it says Pak is hotbed for militants. It is a fact. Pakistan is a dark spot and shame to this world. Their creator distorted their vision and idea to create separate nation to prosper. They harbored, nurtured militants for kashmir. But by publishing it 24/7 in media are they helping two nations to solve the problem? Indian media do not report the problem created by usa in iraq, afghanistan and even pak where they butchered 80% innocents to capture oil and hidden agenda to sell weapons.

Media if not monitor for their news can create social discord in the society which these uneducated indian politician did not realise because they have no vision and idea of progress. China, Singapore Hong Kong realized. Look where they are today in world progress map
