Well said.Let us all spread the unsuitability of the Congress so that they do not get even the 80 or so seats that are being assessed as their likely seats.

The Fascist state is a will to power and empire. The Roman tradition is here a powerful force. According to the Doctrine of Fascism, empire is not only territorial or military or mercantile concept, but a spiritual and moral one. One can think of an empire, that is, a nation, which directly or indirectly guides other nations, without the need to conquer a single square kilometre of territory.

—Benito Mussolini, Giovanni Gentile, Doctrine of Fascism (1932).

poverty of ideas keeps the nation mired in poverty

Sufi saints and a symbol of composite culture of the country.
-------------

Sufism is a relatively minor cultural phenomenon; with more sentiments than scholarship in it.

Bharatiyata on the other hand a profound conception, with intellectual work several times larger than Greek and Roman works and covers diverse domains of arts, philosophies, and sciences.

If Sufism is perceived as mainstream thought, India will remained mired in poverty.

While India accommodates Sufism and other religions Sonia and Gandhi family has no right in name of Secularism to overwrite Bhartiyeta which is India's culture.

Sonia should be given lessons of what Bhartiyeta is. She being foreign citizen has no right to insult the culture of this country.
What is mind boggling is that though she has remained in India for so long and has been interfering in our countries politics she has not thought it worth while to acquire Indian citizenship. She has rights to live in India. If she craves to be so much involved with our countries politics why does she not give up Italian citizenship and take Indian.

Once Sonia does that only than she has right to even interfere in our politics.

Shreya,

You can not even vote, let alone represent in Parliament if you are not an Indian citizen.

I liked the term late Jyoti Basu had used for her, -- desh ki bahu--. He had said this in good faith, since her family suffered. But much water has flown since!

The phrase zeher ki kheti, does not make sense. It is an insinuation is an inane remarks which lowers the standard of debate, infact it replaces healthy debate with mere exchange of charges. This kind of effort to define the opposition can be countered only by making it appear as not true.

Ramesh,

Agree with you that she has no right to vote or represent in parliament. In Britain I have seen that even european citizen is not allowed representation in the parliament unless he is citizen. How come she be so arrogant to not understand the polite undertone of Indians that as you rightly pointed out by remarks of Jyoti Basu that she is welcomed as daughter-in-law but not allowed to interfere with our politics.
She has lowered not only standard of debate but whole of Indian politics and the economy. While India should be concentrating on manufacturing value added products and improving infrastructure and competing with China she is busy donating free LPG gas cylinders to people though there is no money in the economy to sustain that kind of subsidy. She intends to make us bankrupt.
Nowhere in the world people of foreign origin are allowed to contest election if they are not citizen then how can she be allowed in India. She should be banned from contesting election in India.

Shreya,

Your intensity of emotion makes you misinterpret what I wrote. She is an Indian citizen.

The real villain who would have thought up this disinformation I feel here is Shri Digvjay Singh, who was present in this rally. He is becoming a version of the infamous V C Shulka.

I do not think she is Indian citizen. She has right to live in India that does not make her citizen. She still holds Italian citizenship and India does not allow dual citizenship.

I have not been living in India from past fifteen years so would not know comments of late Jyoti Basu and the context in which it was made.

I do not think she is Indian citizen.
----

No point on holding to an opinion which is disproved by facts. There is some emotional truth in what you say, but it is something else, and nothing to do with citizenship issue.

Likewise, there is a ring of truth in what is being said; it is a translation of the phrase, communal poison.

A section of people who subscribe to BJP do have in past exhibited this communal poison, and it can not be wished away. Think, as BJP constituency has expanded and included social justice platform plus focus on development issues; this anti-Muslim animosity is not critical.

Congress is using political strategy to win, and BJP hopefully will respond per Kalamisque positive thinking to create healthy climate for governance.

Right to information
by shreya on Feb 01, 2014 07:45 PM  | Hide replies

Why is Sonia always blowing the trumpet of introducing right to information. Sonia whole of India is doubting yours and congress parties intention. If you are so not power hungry as you have been claiming so far than could you please do favour to all Indians by leaving our country. We have had enough of you and your son. Also collect your daughter, grand children and Son-in-law and never return back to India. It would be good idea if all of you bought one way ticket to Mars and never returned to our country and planet earth.

Agree Rajan that they can afford to go to Mars with all the corruption they have been doing from sixty years but sending them to Mars will be guaranteed that they are never going to be back on our motherland.

Sonia thinks that she knows Bhartiyeta our culture and has right to preach Indians what our culture is.

I am sure she will claim that air, atmosphere, gravity all is due to her and her party.
