Politicians who suffered from FOOT-IN-MOUTH disease
by Sasidharan Nair on Jan 05, 2015 06:30 AM

Of all the parties, congress suffered the most on account of the insinuating statements and in that sect of the tongue-war traders are the infamous three-some: (i) Manishankar Iyer who proclaimed that Modi shall never become PM and if Modi prefers selling tea, he would provide a place; (ii) Kapil Sibal who propounded the dubious mathematical variation to declare that 2G scam did not suffer any loss; and (iii) Digvijay Singh who was vociferous against Annaji with his sarcasm "He is top to bottom a corrupt" ! People gave fitting reply by defeating the former two while the third did not opt to face the voters, probably, in fear of his fate he well realized even before election! If congress party plans revival, they should first remove these people from primary membership for their dirty role in party's decimation!

Mr Manishankar Aiyer need to give respect to his age.Crossed about 72 years major part of his life he need to maintain some dignity in his talk.He lacks this for the reasons known to him.
The tragic part is the congress and most of the television channels like NDTV recognise him a popular figure to boost the discussions.Mr.Manishakar Iyer debating way is like a Owl flying in a flower valley.Every one knows this still he has a place in politics.

How come "‘Bhagwad Gita' should be declared as the national holy book’" becomes FOOT-IN-MOUTH statement.
These are idiotic communist/congress influenced journalists want to confuse readers.

The statement of mr. mani shankar shows the an arrogance, and loyalty towards the party. the one of the main reason why congress lost so badly is because of hajurias and corrupt politicians of the party.
one should be very careful about what you speak .

Biggest drawback is with SC and EC, no action by them, Govt. at centre can also make law to bar such hate spreading politicians to contest election.
We only see TAMASHA, no correction.

Agree with you. the Election Commission has become a rubbery spined organisation. I remember when T.N.Seshan was the CEC, politicians used to tremble. In the same situation today he would have summarily disqualified them and given them a tongue lashing were he the CEC in the last elections
