Tsunami:10 yrs on

Lucky you...from the piece, it's obvious that the tsunami only devastated Thailand, Malaysia, Indionesia etc, and totally missed the Indian sub-continent, no?

Unless they're too ashamed to show the total absence of any rehab work undertaken in this backward land run by ueseless, uncaring and indifferent netas and babus???

Tsunami 2004 at Nagapatnam part 2
by Ramasamy Nagarajan on Dec 26, 2014 07:56 PM

We, now consisting of about 20 Rly men started to distribute water, biscuits, fruits and food pockets tot the available persons. We started walkingwith head loads. We saw a few heartless persons looting from the dead bodies, when questioned, they pretended that they are trying to identify their kith and kin! When our relief material got exhausted, we approached a lady unning a petyy shop near Velipalayam and requested her to give whatever she was having in her shop for money. A gretat reply from the GREAT Lady. "I do not want any money for these small items(like murukku(dhanthkali), groundnut cake etc. You please distribute them on my behalf. What a great soul!" too much for these columns! Many more on secularism, polpular demands,
This culture only will keep India United for thousands of yearrs.

When we asked them what was wrong, they shouted at us to escape telling us that the sea was "boiling" Saw the unforgettable scene there! a few fishing boats were riding on the high tides just about 30 meters away from us at a height of about 10 meters. Accellerated our car and esaped to safety. Just saved by a few seconds and a few meters! Within an hour wI was asked to be the Emergency Officer and returned from Thiruvarur with a relief train.
