USA literacy rate is around 86% (According to a study conducted in late April by the U.S. Department of Education and the National Institute of Literacy, 32 million adults in the U.S. can't read. That's 14 percent of the population. 21 percent of adults in the U.S. read below a 5th grade level, and 19 percent of high school graduates can't read.)When you compare USA with India mind the population also.

Even though kerala has highest literacy rate, but still i never read any inventions and leaders name from kerala

Inventions are done by school and college dropouts, e.g. steve jobs, Bill gates but to carry the work forward need literacy

Please update your Knowledge. Literally everytime, the head of ISRO is from Kerala. Kerala has contributed so much to Cinema,Dance Music. Keralites are everywhere tending to your needs without any prejudice.

literacy is not about being the next albert Einstein. literacy just shows to what level the economics of the state has drilled down to the citizens of the state. the higher the literacy, the better the governance of the state.
