all our educated intellectuals says that our culture is primitive and to save ourselves we have to abandon it and embrace the culture of the white man. they must be right because they speak English so well. and following that most Indians learn English and emigrate abroad to live in countries of white people and imitating them the best they can. but this man is saying the exact opposite. must be crazy.

since time many foreigners visited India, they wrote history of India of their time.We know our history because of their writing,Eg Vijay nagar history A forgotten empire written Robert Sewell based on the Portuguese travelers writings.Similarly Maharashtra history. The then rulers treated them as their guest.Swami Vivekananda had many American disciples so as Arvindo.some foreigners participated in liberation of Inda. Now traveling in India is not safe,as rape and murders are very common, equally those habituated narcotics and their naked appearance on beaches reasonably banned by the states, temporary marriages of Arab muslims in hydrabad banned and raided the hotels are few reason for declination, but many foreigners stayed in India wrote like Indians studied Sanskrit and vedas and wrote dictionaries of indian languages contributed to Indian literature

How many foreigners stay in India ? Very few ?
by Vijay K on Dec 20, 2014 05:24 PM

Just think of the number of foreigners stay in India. They are very few. Most of the foreigners staying in India are generally in love with Hinduism or Buddhism or they are connected with organizations like Osho Asharam or ISCON. There are very few foreigners from developed world who stay in India for business or job. Foreigners doing business or job in India, stay here for months or few years and then move out.
Unlike so many Indians eager to settle abroad, there are very very few foreigners eager to come to India.

on strategic matters concerning india's borders.. Keep going ! as an indian i find india is really a very interesting country and a life time is needed even for us to truly understand our own country and its diversity . There is always an unexpected surprises , peculiar things but with valid reason , all over india and that probably draws many foreigners like a magnet. It will remain a eternal revealation to many .. for thousands of years and iam saying this with all humility

Claude I missed you
by One Liner on Dec 20, 2014 02:46 AM

You used to write so frequently. In those days, I used to come to rediff and look first if there were any articles from you.
I wanted to ask you, "You were away fro us for such long time, but why? Why?"

Then I googled and found your webpage. That gave me a kind of an India that you might have gone back to France. Am I wrong?
Anyway glad that you wrote again.
