My home town (love for Mr Ruskin Bond)

Hi! I am from Mussoorie. It's my home town. I love Mr Ruskin Bond. I know him since I use to go to school. he is very great person and nice to everyone. Everyday when I used to go home from school, I see him in front of his house writing something. I used to get tired by walking up on the hill so he was the only one who used to give me snacks and water/juice.

he is very down to earth and ready to help others. I have not seen a calm person in my life as he is.

Obed Masih.

reading about you and your work brings on the feeling of having one's heart tugged at..............of visions of time and places far off in the past..........of longing.............of loss..............of having so little time in this world.................

Oh.......if only you were there for ever !

I read one of his stories..

A boy was walking through forest at night and got scared and ran, when he saw a person with featureless face like a pot.

Most likely the boy saw a dark color person with oily face in faint moonlight, so he can view the outlines of face but not its features from a normal habitual distance.

If the child had gone close to the person or shown the torch on his/her face, he would had realized it’s just a person with eyes and nose, not ghost.

Anyway it’s unreasonable to expect a young boy in middle of jungle, holding his nerves and stopping to inquire.

As a grown up, when I came across same experiences due to my job, I remembered the story.

I met him in a small shop of Masoorie in 2005.A great man with childlike innocence.

Thanks for these details. He is one of the best authors. Loved his stories in childhood and love them more now.
