Many things can be online to avoid crime.

Police take bribe for doing police verification hence police verification is not easy. Online given document can be verified by Cab company is easy to avoid to recruit proper person on Job. The Police work is very reserve no one wants to go to police even in needy situation also. Police need to be trained to become people friendly. In many situations we have seen police created the problem for victim. Any person having crime record can be online to verify easily instead of giving money to police for taking face character certificate. On verification for Job also in government Police takes bribe.

So, authorities were waiting for a rape to happen to investigate Uber?
By the way,how a rapist got a forged document from government? How is Uber supposed to know that it is a forced document ?

How was a rapist roaming around freely in the open ?

How do you blame a foreign company fully when its the act of an Indian criminal and result of failure of our systems ? Are you going to sack all concerned government officials ? Or babus_will just continue to enjoy and convert Make in India campaign to Bhag_from_India_bhag campaign ?

Typical of Indian mind set. Beat the the foreign investor and his novel ideas to protect the status quo and local vested interests.
Yes, make the foreign investor stream line his operations and ensure that there are no more incidents like this. But, for Gods sake do not forget, your present system is corrupt, disorganized and full of shady people too. Are we to believe that the the drivers of Yellow cabs are whiter than white? There are any number of these drivers who are scum bags, who cheat, violate women's modesty and steal. These cabbies are the product of a corrupt system managed through local political mafias and Regional Transport offices & police.
Now, there has been one incident with Uber and the local vested interest has got its chance to start chest thumping. May we ask what do they do when local cabbies on a daily basis are subjecting consumers to a rape.
The ban in Delhi against Uber is product of a petty minds and grossly over the top and unfair. It will kill new ideas and alarm the foreign investor.

You have no clue what you are talking about. You have neither knowledge of law and not technologies.

If it was to happen to the same in the US, uber would have be planning to go bankrupt tomorrow defending some 400 class action lawsuits. Also, there would have lawsuit from the state AGs.

There is nothing innovative about uber technology. It is simple gps location request and any one can write the software in 6 weeks. The real value is in being the first market mover and circmventing laws everyw here.

They have circumvented law in San Francisco & NY and were sued in both places.

So you know everything about how licences to cab drivers in India are given? Not to mention of the mafia controlling Taxi trade in India; hand in hand with authorities and political patronage.Grow up!
