It is on the drawing board. The engine will not be made in India it will be imported we will most probably get an old engine as most engine manufacturers will not give top line equipment. The pilatus is used extensively. I have no faith in HAL I have seen their work. The ALH is a case in point it is too expensive to operate no civilian agency will buy it

Retd Col Ajai Shukla is an inveterate Air Force baiter who syndicates these articles for Business Standard. He knows nothing about aviation yet opposes the IAF every time. Notwithstanding that I think the versions of IAF and HAL need to come in public domain before anyone can take sides.

Even if it is costly,we tax payers are ready to accept HAL price because the entire money will be in the Indian economy and employment and business will be created.

It will also indirectly relieve from depleting foreign reserve and prevent possible kick_back scenarios of vested_interests.

All kick_back agents are to be shoot_on their_rear in broad_Day_light.
