What's the point talking to Pakistan?
by Hebbar R on Aug 20, 2014 05:53 PM  | Hide replies

It takes time for trust amongst India' neighbors (excluding Pak)to be brought back. Modi has surely made the first moves. It takes time. Efoor is surely there.

Nawaz is himself in a shaky position. So what could have been achieved by talking to him? The past Govts of India allowed Huriyat's meeting Pak Diplomats. That alone is not necessary for the new Govt to follow the same policy. For once, the Indian Govt has clearly questioned the Locus Standi of the Huriyat. they are not elected by the people nor are participants in the democratic policy.

As regards ,the talks ,the indian public is aware of pak intentions and ways .unfortunately ,it is only the Pre 1947 born Indian politicos of Cong and some old BJP politicos who are in govt desire talks and results .It is well known that we have not gained anything ,but have lost many soldiers It is better that we stop talking as Modi is the first post 1947 born PM and I hope he does not entertain such unfulfilling wishes nor has any NOSTALGIA OF LIFE IN LAHORE ETC .

Mr Bhadrakumar is a communist minded if people do not know him. He always get angry whenever India goes against Pakistan or China's interest. Initially he advocated India should not go nuclear, now he scares us that Pakistan has nuclear bombs.

This guy does not know that abrogation of Article 370, implementation of common civil code and construction of Ayodhya temple are part of BJP manifesto?

Talk with PAK
by CA Dhan Prakash on Aug 20, 2014 04:08 PM  | Hide replies

Our govt since long is wasting thir time & energy to talk with PAK in spite of violation of cease fire, militancy in our country. This is only to appease & to get vote of minorities only. Otherwise there is no need to do any talk with them only take tough stand against them.

Our demand is push all non secular forces to POK from Kashmir, Kashmir is already divided - those who love PAK or fanatic Islamics or separatists must be pushed first.

Earlier govt has allowed separatists to hold such type of meetings. Specially Congress? If they had stopped them earlier no such situation create.

If India cancels talks, how is it slap to Modi. if you are anti-india and still staying in India, you better bo to Pakistan. Some shameless creatures are there who despite taking birth and have been living on a motherland hate their motherland. They forget that its because of this land that they , their families and friends (could be mostly terrorists or pro-terrorists)have been living because this country let them live despite their orientations.

dialogue called off
by ramamurthy natarajan on Aug 20, 2014 12:47 PM  | Hide replies

It's correct Pakistan, created out of hatred , under the effective control of hardliners-military combine even today. It has been practicing anti -India stand and could get support from US and China a testimony of its successful "diplomacy". On the other India, the land of "Arthashastra" has never followed a pragmatic foreign policy to serve the national interests. The Nehru govt was too "ideological" and the successive govts have compromised the "victory " of our armed forces under pressure from "super" powers. Knowing well the no civilian govt in Pakistan can take any decision on matters of relations with India, all our govts were "engaged" with Pakistan, under US pressure. US has been adopting pro-Pakistan stand to serve its interests in this region. The Modi Govt have started well with invite to "SAARC" heads and its recent decision to "call off " Aug 25 th dialogue though criticised , as expected, by Congress and Left ,will send a clear message while we are "sincere" in improving relations with our hostile neighbour, they should not take us for granted.
nai.
