Reason is very real. Thanks to the 1998 nuclear blast there were sanctions against India on importing various equipment till UPA GOvt managed to get these sanctions lifted. THis ship has several imported equipment to make it as modern as possible Let us not bring politics into such matters relatin to the country's defence

Most of the projects now being inaugurated by Mr Modi has been in progress for several years and not just in 3 months. In fact Mr Modi acknowledged this in his speech at the Red Fort.

While congratulating the Mazgaon Docks on this feat one must say that this destroyer is NOT totally indigenous. Many parts making the whole are imported. It has yet not been equipped with its full on board weapons systems which are imported.

Good Thought.But I guess you didnt read a news on rediff today,yesterday,on 15th aug,a school in Kerala was closed due to protest by a religious sect which refused to sing 'Vande Maatram' as it hurts their 'religious sentiments',because it says Nation first.

THere is more DAROO in Gujarat than several States where their is no prohibition! A lot of this was seized during the electioneering.
Modi seems to have been appointed for inaugurating what Manmohan had built. Modi ji 75 days are over we voted you. Seems our votes have gone waste. Potato rs 30/- per Kg as of today. I congratulate the team effort of Mazgaon Dock and the government to make us proud.
