With political parties vying for Bharat Ratna for literally everyone...it looks like the highest civilian award is at whims of these parties. There should be strict and unbiased nominations for the consideration to this honor with nominating on the basis of their worthiness. Otherwise, sadly this will be just another award!
The Nation has many heroes who are far better and eligible for the Award BHARAT RATNA, My choice is SHAHEED BHAGAT SINGH.
Politicians are the people who have played their role and made enough controversies and assets for their benefits, but the real Heroes are The Freedom Fighters whose contribution cannot be valued by us.

Thank god Congress is not asking Bharat Ratna for gr8 Dawood Ibrahim to get Muslim vote.
barat ratna must be given to me too as i have been an honest citizen and have not made any black money . i have performed my duties towards my nation with out expecting any thing at all ( as said in bhagawadgeeta)

Sure sir. We have crores of Bharat Ratnas in India...in fact, every Indian is a Ratna for this world. Jai Hind!
Cong got very less in the last LS Poll. When they r in power, why the hvn't given Bharat Ratna to SC Bose, Bhagat Singh, Kansiram etc. ?? They r now playing petty politics....
Why BJP is trying to give Bharat Ratna to AB Vajpayee ( a politician done something for BJP not for Bharat, whom he criticizes to maintain Raaj Dharma, now becomes PM not his own, who can't take own decision without help of a cultural orgination - RSS)
Atleast Bharat Ratna should not politicise, please...
The earlier UPA Govt have made a mockery of Bharat Ratna by giving it only to its stooges. Shaheed Bhagat Singh,Subhas Chandra Bose are much above this petty awards,they are the founder fathers of our nation,please do not make mockery of their supreme sacrifice.We the citizens of India will salute them forever.

True patriots never ever want these awards. These are just government medals without taking into consideration the voice of the people. Bhagat Singh, and Netaji are above these awards. These awards do not carry any value right now.
