The party responsible for hanging of trio now playing plitics.It was Nehru & gandhi who made no effort to save the freedom fighters & alsi forced Subhash to leave country fetr Gandhi refused to acknowledge his victory as President of Congress.This party has lost all moral rights to demand after being reduced to 44 in 2014 polls.they must starts behaving in new avtaar.
First of all, Congress is not in a position today to demand anything from the present government. What they have done in their more than six decades of rule ? All Nehru Gandhi members like Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, and even Rajiv Gandhi were awarded Bharat Ratna by them along with people like Rajendra prasad, Zakir Hussain, V V Giri, K .Kamraj, C Subramaniam, Gopinath Bordoloi, all congressmen. Sardar Patel expired in 1948, but was awarded Bharat ratna with Rajiv Gandhi in 1991. Why congress did not awarded Bhagat singh, Subhash Chandra Bose, Mahatma Gandhi at the right time when they were in a position to decide the award. Rashid Alvi should first ask his party high command and he is a non entity to suggest or dictate any matter to the present government after the voters of India have voted them out of power.

No family member of Nehru-Gandhi available & now it is sure that there is no chance to take decision on any award.

I wholly agree with you, Congis should stay silent. They had nearly 60 years to award these two a Bharat Ratna. What was congis doing.
Stop this drama Kangressis !!! You were ruling for the last 60 years - why didnt you do it - instead spending it on licking boots of Nehru family and giving all awards to this family andnaming every project after them....go chill Kangressis
