an opportunity
by Shyam Galgali on Apr 30, 2014 10:34 AM

without giving him an opportunity to expect him to surprise us is something a figmentof imagination. should remember LONG ROPE of 60 year was given to congress and gandhi family - what did they do? they created rift after rift among community, regionalism, castes etc. and took full advantage thereof without effecting any development in reality. if there is no sufficient food what is use of food security bill? all tamasha - when election comes they remember their forefathers and repeat telecast of nehru era, indira era and rajiv era. nobody dares to go in deep to scrutinize their inning but FACE WASH. now Mr.Modi is asking for an opportunity and without giving him that people expect tall things and criticise him - the way he is hounded outday in and day out by all reginal satraps duly suported by congress there is little chance of he succeeding in his mission.

Mumbai vote

It is not the "apathy of the city's elite" buotert the indifference of the common man which is reponsible for the low voter turnout. This time around the "elite" showed more alacrity to vote where as the common man sat at home.Given the parties and their candidates, it is not at all confidence inspiring. What difference will it make to our day-to-day life? seems to be the feeling

Modi may not be able to fulfill all the aspirations of the people. This is because in a federal set up like India, Centre has limited role to play in administering the Staqtes and so unless the States co-operate, Modi's success will remain limited to central administration only. I don't think Modi can expect any co-operation from CMs like Mamata, Akhlesh, JJ and CMs of congress ruled states (though a few and small in numbe). With most of the regional parties becoming dynastic parties, personal ambition and wealth creation for the family overtakes States' prosperity. This is the irony of the country. May be it will take a few more elections for wiping out these dynastic parties which can perhaps lead to only national parties as in USA and other western countries.
