In our democracy only one pillar seems to be working
by srnvs san on Apr 25, 2014 12:30 AM  | Hide replies

1. This high lights three monkeeys cartoon "Do not see bad things" approach adopted by the UPA(Congress, SP and BSP) government.

2. Government should have stepped up and appointed an inquiry to stop the loot

3. Only Supreme court steps in?

4. Looks like Congress, BSP and SP are not interested, either it is these parties

Do not care for India or this temple do not belong to their vote bank.

SC orders audit of the Padmanabhaswamy Temple
by Ramaswamy Sundararajan on Apr 24, 2014 11:56 PM  | Hide replies

SC's decision to appoint Vinod Rai as the chief of audit is a compliment to the officer for his fearless discharge of duty as the CAG. He had defied the system and had courageously exposed the corruption in 2G ( Rs 1.76 lakh crores)and Coal allocation ( Rs 1.86 lakh crors). The corruption was indulged in by the communal and corrupt Congress party and its capricious allies

At every turn, the communists are alleged to be
by piri on Apr 24, 2014 10:22 PM  | Hide replies

"anti-hyndu religion" by followers of the Sangh Parivar.

As one of those who posted a message here said, in this particular instance, they ought to be thankful to the communists of Kerala in the 1940s for not allowing the Travancore King's family from looting the hoard from the Padmanabhaswamy temple!!

The Travancore royals had a very wily ally - the then Diwan C.P Ramasamy Iyer, who tried every trick in the book to enable the Travancore kings lay their hands on the hoard. He even went to the extent of writing to Vallabhai Patel in 1947 expressing the wish of the "Travancore state" to remain as an independent and sovereign entity and not to join the Indian union !

As part of a deal brokered by the British, the 500 or so princely states of the Indian sub-continent were given 3 options, viz, a) Join the Indian Union, b) Join Pakistan and c) Opt to remain independent. Only 3 princely states - Junagadh, Hyderabad (Nizam) and Travancore - opted to remain independent.

Upon Vallabhai Patel's stern insistence, Junagadh finally relented and it signed the instrument of accession. When the Nizam of Hyderabad remained obstinate (he had a gigantic hoard of wealth himself which he naturally wished to retain full control over; his hoard was even larger than that of Travancore), Patel was forced to send Indian army contingents to Hyderabad upon which the Nizam tamely acquiesced and signed the instrument.

.P Ramasamy Iyer, behind whose coattails the then Raja of Travancore - Sri Chittira Tirunal Balramavarma - hid drooling in pining hope to retain full control over the wealth hoarded by his ancestors in the temple, perhaps expected that Patel might not send his troops all the way down south to secure the relatively tiny territory of Travancore.

But what C.P did not bargain for at all was the response of and the successful mobilisation of the masses by the communist party in Kerala!

The Communists, led by the legendary Krishna Pillai, carried on a determined campaign among the common people that, if the Diwan is allowed to keep Travancore independent from India, he would sooner than later feel it necessary to make the state a satellite/vassal of the United States with dire consequences for its ordinary citizens. This campaign (which ran simulataneously with the famed Punnapra-Vayalar violent struggle for the emancipation of agricultural labour and for securing their right to ownership of land) was so successful that C.P Ramasamy was forced to flee Thiruvananthapuram in the dead of night (after an attack on him).

With the departure of C.P ended the drooling hopes of the Raja of Travancore and his family of laying their hands on the temple hoard.

If Padmanabha temple BC/SC/ST security guards are smart they should steal that jewelry. Otherwise Forward Caste priests will steal it.

Jesus ??

How come ??

What about the great majority of hyndu commoners - tagged as backward castes - who bore the yoke of unending tyranny through more than two millennia of rule by the minorities (the ruling kings, nobles and the priestly classes) ???

Think you can delude yourself for long by trying to divert attention of others with the words Jesus, rizebag, etc. ??

How come the Travancore royal family built up so much wealth ?

Do you really think it came entirely from the offerings of devotees ??

Have you read any historical records related to this matter ?

Any of the documents/temple records that are available in the public domain ?

Any of the innumerable number of historical works written by historians of various hues ? And before you parrot out that all history was written by the British/marxists, check for once and decide whether the historians who wrote before the British and the Marxists ever came into the Indian scene have written differently !!

How Vinod Rai is honest?
by Ananda Raj on Apr 24, 2014 09:13 PM  | Hide replies

Vinod Rai is yet to prove his credibility of 2G Report. He illegally leaked report to Bhusan and Dr.Swamy. He had collapsed Indian economy intentionally. It is shame for Indian Judiciary to crurcifying anti-national and generating business or remuneration , official status to spend taxpayers money about one crore per year.If judiciary honors him, how there will be free and fair trial in 2G case? It seems, there is Grand Design to protect Vinod Rai, not temple.

In that case, you need to find a court of appeal beyond the Supreme court !

Perhaps you can start a movement in the direction of getting one instituted !

What has Vinod Rai's appointment as head of the audit in Thiruvananthapuram to do with the pursuit of the cases either in 2G or the coal allocation scam? Vinod Rai did an excellent job as CAG without fear or favour. Except the supporters of UPA in general and DMK in particular all have hailed his contribution to the country.
