Voting for Modi would be a disaster for people of Varanasi. If he wins both seats, he may want to abandon Varanasi and stick to his home seat. If he fails to become PM, he may want to continue as CM of Gujarat, and therefore resign his Parliament seat. Even if he wins and becomes PM and continues with Varanasi seat, would he ever find the time to listen to their problems. He is an outsider who is contesting there for reasons which have no connection whatsoever with the people of Varanasi. They should rather vote for a local candidate. Ajay Rai is a better bet any day.

Nation needs a strong & dynamic leader with patriotic spirit & for that Modi is fittest.
Sumit says : "Self-anointed prime minister in impatient waiting Narendra Modi". He has not self-anointed himself as PM candidate unlike the dud Rahul Gandhi, who as the 'heir' of the 'Ruling family’ has self-anointed himself, although he is unfit even for a municipal Councilor post. Second Modi has not been 'impatient' to occupy the top post he deserves; he had been in politics for years, and has grown over the years to be the CM of Gujarat for 3 full terms, and having performed extremely well, has been projected by the party to head the country. What is wrong? This article smacks of Partiality; and these seem the order of the day even in standard media like rediff.

Self anointed are Sonia's family, Karuna, Sharad Pawar, Abdullas, Naidus, Reddys and others. They thought that exit of Nitish from NDA and Advani's protest would dilute BJP.
So that much faulted slogan "Har Har ..." is still in vogue despite a Saint reservations of it being demeaning to belief by a sect and Modi's consequent dikat to his supporters not to use it anymore. So, it all seems to be mere publicity drama. Modi's promises always lacks conviction. He has effected a change of face due to the compulsions in the National scene where Hindutva appeal has limitations. His change of garb to be a moderate face is more tactical than convictional. It is a clever tactic deployed by the Sangh Parivar elements to project Modi on the one hand as a face of moderate and on the other hand let loose ordinary leaders to invoke vitriolic hatred speeches to invite polarization and so far it seems working well.

still better tahn your churches giving flyers askin people to vote in the name of secularism. still better than your xavier college asking students to vote in the name of secularism. minorities like you are a blot on this country. because you people thrive of minority quota and free food. Thats all you need. i have seen what your italian-vatican appointed leader has done in last 10 years. people are fed with it. people need change
