Udayakumar S P of the Aam Aadmi Party from Kanyakumari constituency in Tamil Nadu has declared 382 criminal cases against himself followed by M Pushparayan of the same party from Thoothukkudi constituency with 380 criminal cases. DMK, at #3 spot, with 10 criminal cases is far behind.

These cases are for participating in protests against a nuclear power plant. They have nothing to do with murder, rape, etc. which are more common!

As far as the proportion of candidates with criminal cases pending against them, the BJP has the most in this election (42 %) followed by the SP with 38 %.
