If we impassionately look at the reasons for all these communal problems it is this: The change in demography. Due to non implementation of family planning the population of the minorities have been growing in geometric progression. This has led to insecurity in the majority population. The Jats are the the only caste in Hindus who are aggressive and can exert their rights. They just did that. The only way to solve this problem is to maintain a demographic status quo and enforce a strict two child policy for all Indians , irrespective of religion. This will be strongly oppossed by minoritties but in fact it will do them a world of good. The economy and per capita gdp will improve. The inflation will reduce as demand will come down.

Will wait for order from Deoband! Really!

Can the minority community not think for themselves? If India has to become truly secular, how can members of any community follow orders of their seminary on whom to vote?

Enough is Enough. We will not TOLERATE ANY RIOT AGAINST ANY COMMUNITY - SIKHS, CHRISTIAN, JAINS, BUDDHISTS OR MUSLIMS. NO ATROCITIES ON WOMEN, DALITS, CHILDREN. WE WISH TO ASSURE ALL THE MUSLIMS AND OTHER MINORITIES THAT WE (MAJORITY COMMUNITY) WILL DIE FIRST IN PROTECTING YOU BEFORE ANY BODY KILLS YOU IN THE NAME OF RELIGION OR PARTY POLITICS. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. INDIA IS A SECULAR COUNTRY AND WE BELIEVE IN THE SECULARISM IN TRUE SENSE OF THE TERM. THOSE WHO ARE INVOLVED IN RIOTS ARE NOT TRUE HINDUS. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

Before making such tall promises, first get everyone follow an Uniform civil code. Let everyone pledge they won't have more than two children(all wives included). Let everyone say Country First and Religion next. Let every one pledge they won't target girls of other religion and marry from their own religion. 90% the problems will be solved by this

Good question...sadly it has remained part of comments, and not part of the journalistic community...

Saagar Bhatia,
You are absolutely right.
If there is some sort of pain to the followers of religion of peace due t their own misadventure, then secularism is in peril.

But if their arrogance is able to cause pain to the Hindus, then all things are well and happy...and the news is never heard again.

Sadly this is how secularism is practised in India- the land which has been saturated with the ideology of beloved Bapuji- father of present day India.
