Does being pro-Hindu make BJP non-secular/communal. and beinbg pro-muslim makes Congress Secular.Let Congress and its allies TEll The Nation their Definition of SECULARISM.
The Congress was in power during some of the most horrendous communal riots in 1980s and yet our PM has the nerve to call others record into question. He did not have any problems in having people like Sajjan Kumar and Jagdish Tytler with him in his party. Tytler was also a part of his cabinet. Yet he goes about criticising others.
I appeal to parties and media that they should refrain from giving any political colour ----------- When an opportunistic alliance is created, not on the basis of a coherent ideology or value paradigm, but on the basis of secularism, the political coloring is implicitly given.
When a party creates a political base on the basis of caste combinations, violent communal fallout is inevitable. Selection of individual candidate on winnable caste criteria is OK, but doing party politics on such basis, be it MY or KHAM or various other combination, goes against the fundamental Constitutional values.
The water which has already flown under the bridge can not be retrieved. In future atleast, hopefully the ludicrous charge of communal polity be not hurled against BJP. Such false assertions not only breeds distrusts, it corrodes political value integrity thereby causing corruptions of all kind, including monetary pilferage.

Anyway Indian Prime Minister has zero political control over his party. The only ones who count are the premier family.
Such family control is itself unconstitutional, and root cause of pervasive corruption evident today. The mechanism which has been used by the ruling coterie propping up the premier family is hurling communal charge and other street smart aggressive approaches. This degradation of intellectual standards and creating an economic base on the basis of what external decision-makers are wont to do; has created conditions ripe for fomenting divides.

This benevolent family control model which Indian National Congress has been reduced to is no panacea for genuine economic advancement.
It perpetuates a particular combination of societal segments as ruling class and makes no room for healthy and competitive churning of political processes to throw alternative leadership within the party.
Since competitive intra-party processes are ruled out, such perpetuation can only be done via repression; which has implications on societal tensions as well.

The premier scion has atleast gracefully spoken about Hindustaniyat being the core value of INC.
But the political media establishment culling favor from the ruling elites, shall continue calling BJP core value as Hindutva and not admit Bharatiyata. This is akin to western media using the term Hindu National Party, thereby imparting an implicit communal coloring; and often a covert intent as well.
Intellectual integrity for healthy polity to prevail is fortunately available as a powerful intent in Indian society, but it has not won the political battles. Creating physical infrastructure of which Indian PM is justly proud of, is only half the story.
Congress is bigoted communal party Hundreds of Hindus were killed using automatic weapons but congress PM and Sonia etc. only met Musalman who conducted this Jihadi massacre.
