The perception of a thing differs from person to person depending upon his education and experiences, the Indian superiority complex is a recent creation a copy of western heritage mostly brought out by British or German thinking, is a universal complex which can be over come by broad thinking on the lines of Human charter of Human rights enshrined in United Nation Charter.

Superiority complex denotes a superficial mindset....

A superiority complex only reflects a shallow, superficial mind really.

A truly superior man of substance would be filled with compassion for the downtrodden and unprivileged around him and will endeavour to raise him or her up.

One outstanding example is the Buddha.

Similarly Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi, Ambedkar, Vinobha Bhave, Baba Amte have all dedicated their lives to uplift the downtrodden, poor and unprivileged.

The term “Indian” defies any norm that can be fitted . The standard norms for superiority or inferiority complex cannot be fitted into Indian psyche. We are being just “ INDIAN” that’s all. The reason is our unique exposure to wide cultural/linguistic spectrum and our non-conforming behavioural traits. That variety/divergence is something seen by foreigners as “strange, Shocking, amazing, repulsive, beautiful, dangerous, erratic, cranky, unbelievable, interesting, disgusting, surprising , totally different, enjoyable, unexpected , weird etc… ” and many other extreme terms that they use when they describe india and Indians. Prabably one needs to live “INDIAN” to understand this

Indians have a superiority complex only in India but inferiority complex when they go abroad. We have cultivated a society in which every individual say you will have to except me in the worst form that I present you. We take pride in being uncultured and gang up and despise those within our country who try to show some kind of being civilized. This is a cause of appeasement by our politicians and religion and caste based politics. What we lack is strong governance.

Even today in India lower caste are not allowed to enter the temples, Recent eg where 60000 converted to Buddhism because the upper caste did not allow them to have lunch together. Safai karmarcharis are look down upon. Today manual scavenging is still going on. Mahatma gandhi tried to remove untouchablity and its still exists. Cases in UK about untouchablity was reported three British wanted to bring a bill to ban untouchabilty but the bill was stalled by the upper caste hindus. In high rise building servants are made to go in luggage lift. Its a sad part even after 6o years nothing has changed it has become worse. WE should think as indians first and last, where caste creed, religion does not exist. We will only grow when there is a classless society

3 million persons of Indian origin living in the USA.

The popular perception among Indians is that all those Indians living in the US are entirely drawn from the cream of Indian society (meaning that they come entirely from the most talented and industrious segment of Indians).

This is a complete fallacy. Actually, just a small fraction of the Indians in the US qualify to deserve such a label. The majority of the Indians in the US actually are plain worker bees who are in America only because they have put in a very great deal to get away from their native land to be in America!

Biharis are not wanted anywhere. Be it Mumbai or Delhi (Sheila Dixit had made a statement to that effect), or Kolkata for that matter. They were assaulted in Assam. Why is it that people in general are repulsed with Biharis?

Indians and Superiority Complex.
by Rajesh Vyas on Oct 04, 2013 12:01 PM

Indians have the highest inferiority complex in the world. We are at the bottom of the ladder. The so called superiority complex is in fact a defence mechanism to cover the inferiority complex. What do we have to feel superior about. OUR SO CALLED NETAS????
