THESE GIMMICKS WILL NOT WORK
by dARASHIKHO on Sep 07, 2013 03:11 PM

as per KARMA you are responsible for yourself. if you cant feed yourself, you have no right to be a burden on the society. each person should act with responsibility and not be a parasite. you are not the only specie on this earth, their are millions of other animals who equally deserve food but they are not crying for food security bill. Please note that the nature maintains a food chain balance. Humans have broken this balance. They have exploded in population and now the nature will strike back. Food security bill is not a solution but dangerous to the society. It will only encourage parasitism. How can couples breed like rats and expect 3% of population to take care of them. THE NEED OF THE HOUR IS TO CONTROL POPULATION.

oh another freebie guy in the market...
by Me Communal on Sep 07, 2013 08:10 AM

praful should instead give all his savings and moeny into food security bill and become downtroddedn and ask for free food.
his own darling PM said money doesnt grow on trees.
so from where do you get the money to get this worked out, who will see that there is no corruption.
He should do some study on Chattisgarh CM, how he improved the PDS system and how people are getting what they deserve without any corruption.
Govt of a country is there to provide facilities to earn and get their food not to make them dependent.
in all the things going on in the country this guys says give free.
instead of wrriting, please give all your property to downtrodden people.

I dont know why these commmies are given space to write.
simple commie praful, as a human being the first and foremost is to learn to earn your living. if you are trying to beg for everything who will pay, there should be some one who pays who is it who pays for these free services.
praful even your lunch is not free, you need to earn is that not right?

Conflicting message.

On one hand Mr. Bidwai complains that only 3% of Indian population pays taxes and on the other hand he complains that food subsidy is provided to just 2/3rds of population and not universalized(to 100%). I suppose Mr Bidwai expects a larger fraction of population to pay taxes to get subsidized foods for themselves. ie. I have money but rather than buy food with it I pay it to govt that skims a large fraction of it in scams and then gives me substandard(anyone who has tried eating PDS distributed food would agree) food for the rest. If it cant provide the food it will pay-back in cash(a fraction of what it taxed from me) as per the provisions of existing Food subsidy bill. Why not reduce taxes by the amount the govt wants to pay me back(and save the money lost in circulation from collection to corruption to return)? But then Mr. Bidwai wants the tax rate to be increased(not reduced). By the way the European countries that tax 50%(as quoted by him) also provide free housing and medical to all. So next election promise of Congress would be free housing and medicine. Mind you, the person/party promising free food, housing, medicine etc is not paying anything out of its pocket so its all my(taxpayers) money. So I am overpaying(if you count money lost in bureaucracy/corruption) to buy goods(food/house/medicine) from govt where I lose control of what I want to buy. What if I don't have money to buy, govt also promises me a job irrespective of what I qualified for(right to work).

So in other words govt provides me all my needs(house, food, medicine) in return for work(since right to work does not check quality of work ie. if I'm qualified or intend to work my working is optional as I could always claim to be working while I laze around). In other words I'm paid in kind(not cash)for not working. So I don't need money at all. If no-one needs money abolish the rupee and revert to barter system ie. work(or don't work) in return for all your needs. The whole hubaloo about rupee falling w.r.t. dollar will be gone if there is no rupee. Wow the genius of our economist PM and advisors like Mr Bidwai. How dumb of me to not realize this! I guess that's why they are leading the country while I just work from morning to evening hoping that working hard will enable me to fulfill my dreams to my satisfaction. Advise to other dumb people like me, stop dreaming(or working to fulfill dreams), you don't know what you want/need. Leave it all to our brilliant communist leaders who will get us all we need/deserve.

what are we trying to achieve
by phani raju on Sep 06, 2013 11:31 PM

I think its a bigger shame that what we call the worlds huge economy and only 3% people paying taxes. That really means there are 2 category of non tax payers. one who steal tax and stash them in Swiss bank second those who are incapable to pay taxes (these numbers would be huge). its a shameful state that even after 65 yrs of independence we have (lets say 30 to 40% excluding children and old age) people who can not in a position to pay taxes. If Govt cant provide jobs to so many people then why no measures have been taken to contain the population? by this kind of scheme (FSB) what are we trying to achieve, keep the poor alive an let the tax payers bear the burden? let the population of these people grow since they are sure to get the feed for their family. I think this is most st^p!d idea. Finally we will end up in having worlds largest poor population. very sad state!
