First of all, The armed forces are commanded by the Indian Commissioned officers means those British time commissioned officers are now more in service. In those days, the commanding officers made it sure that the men under his command are respected making sure of his basic needs. Now a days, its almost corruption everywhere and officers become officers by way of paying under the table or with outside recommendations . They ( officers cadre) do not care the men and ignored and insulated, the men turn violent or try to protect himself at any cost. Today the men are educated, informative and know how others getting highly paid, enjoy their family life etc. So its totally the irresponsible officers are the reason. Now one Ex-Indian Air chief is under CBI case and the present COAS and the newly appointed COAS are politically manipulated to their respective post and are arisen by politicians and so they(COAS`s) are just spent their days paid holidays and just enjoy their tenure and try to grape some post after retirement. Whereas the soldiers are left with hight and dry. At least we hope that new MOD Shri Jaitley with some good suggestions from the EX-COAS GEN VK Singh could help to raise the moral of the soldier's and save the pride of armed forces of India.
The officers treat soldiers like slaves. Soldiers have no say in any matter. Officers are selfish and cunning. The british traditions of treating indian soldiers like slaves still exists in armed forces. Navy is the wrost.
Politics have entered in army cadre discipline. People do not have faith in Police system, if such incidences are repeatedly happens, people will loose faith in army also.
There are 4 noble professions in this world? Soldiering,Agriculture,Teaching and Nursing. The day we learn to give respect to all of them,India will be a better place to live?
only the army is left out of our honorable politicians who are dividing socirty for their own selfish nds they just want to make this army caste based if not reservation based so that every neta can have a regiment to fight other netas for control of a seat. well this could be the stat of such thiongs u never know about our politicians nose for creating trouble any where

It will be unrealistic to expect the armed forces to remain immune to pace and nature of change in society. Learning from childhood that only colour that reflects pride is OG, I can fain say that our armed forces have always “delivered’ in war, in social-strife and natural calamity! It is time the [civil] society gives them back their due. Army has no place for what has happened; it is better that they are allowed to set their house in order themselves. And remember, the unit in news this time is one of the most-decorated one that has NOT missed any war fought by India! India salutes all its armed and security forces……you vigil keeps us secure and your sacrifice keeps us free!
