Why communist Russia Failed and USA Prospered ?

1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.

2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!

5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, ..

That is the beginning of the end of any nation.

A shining example is China .. 50 years back they also had many poor and Hungry people like India ..

Did China give them free food etc.. No they gave them WORK...

All Chinese Policies have one and ONLY only ONE AIM .. Keep Maximum people Gainfully Employed..

and that is why China is way ahead of India in every Field.

Well what you've not considered in your note is China had the ability to give and make people work. In India we don't have that leverage. We are used to too much of freedom and our politicians prey on swelling Middle Class. If you look at India there is only the Middle class works and all others feed on them. Once our Bureaucrats, judiciary and group of ministers work then I don't see any reason for our country to be left behind.

Well said JB but in India where power is bought & not earned it is impossible here. The poor who r used as vote bank & bought during elections by announcing free food schemes or waiving loans or paying directly in cash. Corrupt get elected again & again & nation suffers.

Dr. Chidambaram's confidence about retention of power

Pl list out a single selfless achievement for public welfare your Government for last 5 years to claim from voters,an adult franchise. Kindly look out for your old corporate clients to resume legal profession, that Mr. Chidambaram pursued post 2014 debacle and joblessness.

UPA governance does not benefit hard working honest Indians. it is welcomed only by speculators, hoarders, land mafia, bribe taking bureaucrats, vote banks etc etc

comparative GDP
by South Indian on Oct 11, 2013 10:16 AM  | Hide replies

The whole world economy is going through worse times. China which was growing at 13% now at 6-7% only. Considering that 5-6% maybe not that bad. But having said that the long term goal should be to grow at 7-8% annually.

During BJP times China was still growing at about 11% and India was just 5% only. Dont tell me that 8% or something. That was only the last year due to surplus rain and some credit goes to Jaswant singh as well. Yashwant sinha spoiled the economy.

Since UPA times 7 years the conutry grew at 8% before the recent world economic slowdown. This is only temporary, it is destined to rebound.

Yes India was growing just at 4.8% when BJP took handover from UPA. So 5% was a gift from UPA govt (when China was growing at 11%). And by the end of BJP rule, the growth rate grew to 8.4%. During UPA first couple of years, they rode on momentum caused by BJP's high performance & then it started declining due to bad governance & poor policies.
U know what's temporary as of now, it's UPA govt which is destined to loose badly in coming elections. Only few people with zero IQ are gonna vote for UPA with Pappu as PM candidate.
