Ruling dynasty is scared of Pranab, who may act like a working
by Ram Sharma on Oct 10, 2013 02:17 PM

Ruling dynasty is scared of Pranab, who may act like a working President, instead of rubber stamp. But what is the worry? At least PM is a dummy. I think Pranab hs not forgotten the snub from Rajiv after Indir's assassination, after which he had left Cong for some time

Sonia was scared of Pranab, due to her experience of Rao, who kept her at bay. Hence she did not make her PM in place of MMS, though Pranab was working more like a PM under MMS to take care of various problems. Due to similar fear she did not go for Arjun Singh also, though he was her biggest sycophant and expressed regret due to this in his biography

onia & Rahul r biggest hypocrites. Nothing important moves in
by Ram Sharma on Oct 10, 2013 02:15 PM

onia & Rahul r biggest hypocrites. Nothing important moves in the govt without approval of mother son duo. Mother gave green signal to the bill and subsequent ordinance on criminal MPs. Yuvaraj rejected it saying it was nonsense worth tearing. So where does the govt or party come into picture? The duo only was responsible for sending the ordinance to President, and they only r responsible for rejecting it. Biggest hypocrites

PRANAB DA IS DEAD RIGHT;PRETENDERS TO THROWN DEAD WRONG
by Chitranjan Sawant on Oct 10, 2013 02:12 PM

AUM.
The 42-year old unmarried Ignoramus lacks polish needed in politics and diplomacy. He exceeds his briefs and then hides in his mother's PALLU or AANCHAL. Kiddish! HE MAY ASPIRE TO BE A RESIDENT OF 7, RACE COURSE ROAD BUT THE vOX pOPULI SAYS " HANOZ DILLI DOOR AST"
AS FAR AS MOTHER IS CONCERNED, there is little option left for her but to pray to Mother Mary and ask for a boon that may not be fulfilled.

Pranab would be better choice than manmohan
by brookie on Oct 10, 2013 01:48 PM  | Hide replies

To all those who claim MMS as world class economist, truth is out in public that it is PVNRao and Pranab who got the rejuvenation plan done for Indias economy in 1991.

They wanted unquestioning person to implement it and they found MMS for the same. MMS jumped at the opp, and has read what he was told to. This was not only told by Pranab but even by Subramaniyamsamy on several occassions, as he lead the cabinet rank of a commission for disinvestment during PVNRao govt. (You can view this on utube with title 'special address by subramaniam swamy')

So MMS was always a babu and is now also a babu, except when he has to side with US, and is evident during 1-2-3 nuke deal.

On any day, Pranab is better, we cant trust him completely, after all he is a thorough congressi at heart.

another liar talking nonsense here. hahaha.

For your kind information, Pranab mukherjee had destroyed indian economy before he was dumped to the post of president. PVN only gave political backing to the team of Dr MMS, Chidambaram (then commerce minister) and Montek Singh ahluwalia who unshackled indian economy and put it to high growth path in coordination with then RBI Governer C Rangrajan

dear jatin. Before he was made President, he was virtually working as the working PM, fire fighting with various issues, which MMS could not control

Sorry u don't seem to know the working of Cong, though u hv bn writing in these coloumns for a long time. Who will b president was not decided by dummy PM MMS, but by the Cong queen Sonia, who together with his son hs all the powers concentrated in their hands, without of course any accountability or responsibility

Pranab
by arungopal agarwal on Oct 10, 2013 01:02 PM

Role of President comes, when constitutional crises is developed. In case of friction mandate, he can bring certain interpretative political reforms to forward the country politically by few years. Over 6 decades-our system developed many snags, evils and spread hate in the society, which needs to be weeded out, somehow our politicians are not ready to it for vote bank politics. He as a President and above politics, can easily do it.

by Rajesh Parikh on Oct 10, 2013 12:59 PM  | Hide replies

Rediff is telling to day. I am telling the day he has been selected as president nominee.

Gandhi Family is useless. Congress is more useless. Gandhi/Nehru family always keep able people some how at Bay. See History
- Nehru - never like able people
- Indira Gandhi- Same Story
- Sonia - She is master in the game much better than Nehru & Indira.

Congress men are all yes man or Budhhu.

Better get congress out in 2014, if we want to save INDIA A GREAT COUNTRY.

by Dr Satish Pai on Oct 10, 2013 12:56 PM

At least now Dr Manmohan Singh should think before making a statement that he would be very happy to work under Rahul Gandh's leadership. Since he has been insulted by Rahul in public by criticizing union cabinet's ordinance as complete nonsense, it is the time to reconsider Manmohan Singh's stand
