Why does counting take so long in India?

Other countries don't have separate voting dates and counting dates at all. It's obvious there is something extremely fishy out there. Counting should be same day as voting

It's a Naxal hit state with about 40% dense Forest area , Election commission has decided to execute election in two phases , so that security forces can be used effectively to resist Naxal attacks on polling booths /Government officers and voters , vote counting date is kept for other day so that if required then voting can be performed on places where it may not have done because of sever Naxal threat , we know how perform elections in a largest democracy in world .
