For the Nobel prize, one should have done something entirely new! as everyone knows. Prof. Rao, unfortunately has not done anything like that and so a Nobel cannot be expected on Prof. Rao.
Bharat Ratna to C N R Rao is quite justifiable, although, in the 1980s he was once accused of having manipulated the dates of publication of research papers on superconductivity in an attempt to get "priority": the actual date of publication was much later than the date printed in the research paper.
Kalam was awarded Bharat Ratna for his services as President of India. His contributions as a "scientist" are negligible. In any case, he has been at best a TECHNOLOGIST, not a SCIENTIST.
There is no word to proclaim but simply I say to Shri C N R RAO,"CONGRATULATIONS" Sir...and Hats off to you! At the same time I have a qustion that why our Indian Govt.takes such a leangthy period to decide?
Giving Bharat Ratna at a time when 5 stat is going to poll for electing Govt and Election for National Govt is just few month away is causing a concern.There is no doubt about the mastership in the field of them but they are there for so long years . And the present govt is in power for last ten years. why the have waited for election to come at door. i think just because they want to utilize the popularity in state and national level election.it is not the matter of recognition and reward but using them for their election benefit. Can you think they have change the criteria .This confirms that they not doing any thing for country and people of country but for just grabbing the power. this has to be understood by people and people of this country will show them wise enough . we are
