Congress spokespersons are saying that Lata is an Indian Icon and should not be dragged into politics. They are disappointed that Lata has endorsed Modi over their Crown Prince.
By the same argument why was Congress wanting Sachin Tendulkar, another Indian Icon to campaign for Congress in MP?? It was good that seeing the writing on the wall Sachin has refused to campaign for Congress. With Lata's endorsement many Bollywoood personalities are likely to keep away from Congress.
