Sharad pawar
by Jay KP on Jun 13, 2013 04:40 PM

This Sharad Pawar has no moral right whatsoever, to ask Srinivasan to quit. Couple of years before his son-in-law (Supriya Sule's husband) was accused of misdeeds with IPL money to the tune of tens of crores nobody asked for Sharad Pawar's resignation, nor do his moral conscience prompted him to resign himself. Instead he sought a promotion to becoming ICC chief!

vulture politicians kill businesses
by shilpy on Jun 02, 2013 06:58 AM

you can bet that politicians never build anything, they are there to milk a system and clean up the treasuries, corrupting everything they touch. the people of india, if they wish to reclaim their country, must kick the politicians out, keep the businessman srinivas in. cricket is the_stupidest thing that has ever happened to india, but only sanity would be if the indian pepole rise up against politicians sticking their nose in cricket which they never played or contributed to in their lives.

The Media playing sore because of Low TRP
by Bodhro Lok on Jun 02, 2013 06:26 AM

I have a theory. During the IPL from 8PM to 11.30PM which is the prime time for all no one watched these 24/7 News channel run their daily tamasha on stupid topics. Their TRP was all time low. To rectify this they took up this betting & fixing issue in a big way so that the IPL will be shammed and lose its attraction.

The simple question for all to answer is "WHAT IS THE LOSS TO THE INDIAN ECONOMY" because of the "BETTING & FIXING" It is private individuals with their private money.

Also till now only 3 players are supposed to be involved (Allegations) which is less than 2% of the total players in IPL . Does this matter deserve such hullabulla ???

so many doubts ..
by Jayaraman V on Jun 01, 2013 07:31 PM

Not only this, we can also suspect the whole IPL episode to be a ploy to divert attention from 'coal-gate', 2G etc, which have been quietly forgotten since the exposition of IPL spot-fixing. What is going on ?

srinivasan, csk, meyyappan
by raman govindan on Jun 01, 2013 06:51 PM

the inital charges were betting by meyyappan. they are offences and not non bailable offence!
the media and interested former administrators of cricket ganged upo to sully srinivasan! they ptched a high decibel campaign to sully him and forced to resign! srinivasan is a top business person of south India but raising from an ordinary position. he would have seen several such campaign against him during the course of his life! he is to be admired for his determination to withstand the high pressure campaign launched continuously for all the last two weeks. if he were to survive this sort of determined onslaught, he will be winner throughout remaing active life! the country had not seen such a detemined warrior! i wish him good luck!

I think he should not resign but force BCCI to dismiss him if they need it!

i feel the media organisations fear the the campaign can be sustained upto 8 th of June only at a heavy loss to them and try to put everytrhing under sun dethrone him and save their face!

Cleansing the BCCI
by Vinay Jain on Jun 01, 2013 04:56 PM

It is high time the political class is ousted from the Sports Bodies to cleanse the functioning. We have seen the scams/bungling in Badminton, Hockey, Athletics, Boxing, Wrestling, Shootin, Achery, Football, Olympics, Cricket etc. It is mirroring the functioning of these bodies with the way Governments (Central & States & Municipalities) are functioning with scams, bribes, corruption with no respite to the common man. As a first and all important step to be taken to improve governance of all sports bodies, a rule should be made that no Ministers/ MP/ MLA/ Corporators can become office bearer of these organisations. Moreover, there has to be limit on the tenure of the Chief/ President of the Organisation where he becomes ineligible for the third term in office. Unless the politicians are removed from Sports organisations they will continue to play their dirty politics and harm the sportsmen and the sporting fans of the nation.
