Are farmers cultivating the lands they received?
by Curiosity on Jun 02, 2013 05:11 PM  | Hide replies

With land reforms, are farmers cultivating the lands they received?

Are farmers been able to generate wealth from the lands they received?

Most probably, lands they received are being used for crop loans to default as openly encouraged by government and banks.

Were Naxalism, Maoism, Leninism or any variant of Communism able to escape the clutches of Imperialism, directly or indirectly?

Russia raised it's hands and can China dare to do that in modern era?

Russia 'raised' its hands primarily because it overspent on defence and defence research.

But even while Russia 'raised' its hands in 1989, its Human Development indices were ages ahead of what India's are today!

For instance, while the proportion of those earning less than 2 USD per day in India today is more than 74 % of its population, the UN found nearly all Russians to be above that mark in 1991!

And you say China is has not escaped the 'clutches of imperalism' ??

Can you elaborate on this discovery of yours?

Can we have a long debate?

by Volga Volga on Jun 02, 2013 05:00 PM

Marxism was developed as a political philosophy in a tested environment of European society. Lenin modified Marxism suiting Russian conditions -- Leninism. Mao modified Marxism suiting Chinese conditions -- Maosim.

What are Indian communists upto? Fit for copying as Marxism, Leninism, Maosim or ML!!

Is any of these Maoism, Marxism, Leninism or Democracy lacks dictatorship?

Democracy just mitigates dictatorship to some level--out of ten, 6 enforces on rest!!

'Where land reforms have taken place, there are no Maoists'
by Sasidharan Nair on Jun 02, 2013 08:15 AM

Quite true! The need of the hour is for Govt, any, to oversee the development works to reach complete success! Utilisation of funds should be free from mismanagement and misappropriation; not even a rupee should go to vested pocket. Only then our 65 year old democracy could say we are Independent in letter and spirit! We should set up hanging levers at every public square and keep hanging every corrupt on a day-today basis! The trial and hanging as an event in simultaneous progression! The corrupt people should have fear of consequences, only then the common people would feel safety and belongingness!

Nearly four lakh Kashmiri Pandits were hounded out of their homes Kashmiri Pandits were hounded out of their homes due to this turmoil and thousands were killed. Some put the present figure of the number of exiled Kashmiri Pandits at 7.5 lakh. No commission or probe has focused on ethnic cleansing and the genocide of minority Pandits, which led to their exodus from the valley. Moreover, the persecutors are roaming free in P O Kashmir

Thoughtfull well written article

I was always intrested in understanding their position. At least I have once person who has stated what he thought and what he thinks now.
As he mentions, the idealism comes from ideology, and the ideology has to be countered with well thought out arguments.
I do hope Venu takes the lead in the ideological fight against maoism and naxalism
