Ban the IPL or cricket
by P SURESHAN on May 25, 2013 05:33 PM

Punish all involved with fixing. First throw BCCI man Srinivasan out. The Govt. don't have a right to question or there is law against fixing. Where is our prime minister, president Supreme Court. Why can't they take any action for these kinds of scam. Even we the public also responsibile for these. Because we are the fools purchasing a ticket to see anxiously the match between the two teams. Don't allow any cricket game in India. Each and everyone is greedy of money. Save the country from these dirty people. Can any one make this as a challenge.

3 scape goats
by GANESHBHAGVATHISWARA IYER on May 25, 2013 12:11 PM

These three players are just scape goats. When the whole root is corrupt how can some branches be aloof. The British left us for the bad. Everyday some or other scam. No body bothers about the poor. They are becoming poorer and poorer. Revolution is the only solace

The present fiasco is only a gimmick blown out of proportion, making mountain out of mole-hill by police to divert the attention of people since only the only effective leaver of the tainted government is Police since the parrot CBI has escaped from cage. Secondly there are a number of states who conduct lotteries which indisputably is clearly gambling; why then the chief secretaries are not arrested? So also vehicle insurance business can also be interpreted as gambling, but not life insurance. Thirdly since man is not a machine each bowling cannot be exactly same, there can be variations and fixing the matches has no locus standi. If you delve into more things can be fvg. players. Police the convenient lever of the government should be taken to task.

Why burn midnight oil?

IPL is purely a commercial event. No national interest is at stake. No one is forcing you to watch IPL matches. Just leave them to fade off.

So what if Sreeshant is courting Girls? So what if he spends 1.9 L on dresses. Did anybody bothered the spending patterns of Jayalalitha and Mayavati.?

None of the charges against the cricketers will stand in court of law. There is no law against match fixing. But they only try them for ill gotten money (assuming that they didnot declare their wealth). But with so many politicians are facing disproportionate asset case, these 3 cricketers are just nothing)

It is the betting syndicate they should try to crack. It is the D company and their sponsored Politicians who are running the show.

Its like shooting the messengers. If the Govt has B**ls then they should get to the root o Betting syndicate and not hassle some handpicked , insignificant individuals.
