Everest has become a backyard in the beyond these days. Anyone with some degree of fitness can achieve but bad luck at the death zone can take a life if one injures his foot, HACE or HAPE occurs, snow blindness or some hidden medical history. At the death zone from 26000 feet to 29000 one must travarse quickly. There has been instances when money speaks and poor porters virtually drag and lift persons who ultimately reach(not conquor) the summit only for a few minutes to stay. The window to conquor is a few weeks in May every year. After reaching the summit many ignore the support staff unlike Hillary and never acknowledge the support staff. Or why anyone should spend 15 lakh to 50 lakh to reach there when a solo can do it virtually at no cost. But that is not possible. More the group members more easy it becomes. Yes, it can be easy but risk to life per team is 4%. Other peaks like Kanchenjunga, K and Annapurna is almost unsurmounatable in comparison to Everest. Hillary had criticised Englis a double amputee when he ignored dying climbers and causing death to members of other teams and chose to reach the summit than helping the dying and it got wide publicity world over. Just the cost is high does make them very selfish to abandon dying on the path and still go for the summit. Henceforth every person who reaches the summit must come out with acknowledgement of the supporting climbers like Hillary or you will be classified as one like Sandy Hill Pittman.
