IPL is not played for countries pride.
by exit reality on May 28, 2013 01:24 AM

This tournament is entirely made for making money. I doubt these sort of fixing are part of IPL. In India, you can do anything illegal or immoral, but never accept that or get caught. You will be a role model then. The culprits should be punished without looking the face or as the people watching cricket are wasting money and their emotions are exploited here. But, being a corrupt nations, not sure the big fishes will not be caught. Only people without godfathers will be caught and punished...

to Dumbwits. Were bookies honest last year when KKR won and suddenly bad this year? there is no need to exaggerate this year. Because the culprits have been caught and Indian have countered those outsiders who vetted for KKR last year. And we will nail down further ...but sidelining CSk and allowing KKR is wrong policy. If certain people from CSK had to counter the betting against their team and were caught. It is fine and but bookie and betting ban should be for everyone. So no team gets vetted/abetted against.

logically players throw away matches for money. So investigation should prove that (1) CSK paid money to other teams (2) identify more 'Sreesanths'- those that threw away matches/ runs for money. or atleast prove that (3) Dhoni or Raina didn't actually hit those sixers.
It is impossible to believe that other teams played it clean when IPL was fixed to favour CSK!

Why rediff is jumping on conclusion... wrong article
by CrystalClear on May 27, 2013 01:20 PM  | Hide replies

The picture shown above with MSD's wife and Vindoo is not correct, as Vindoo has said he was close to Harbhajan & Virat (Remember Harbhajan is close to a film actress and may know bollywood stars and there is nothing wrong with it). They might introduced him to other cricketers. And just knowing someone and sitting besides him (as per ticket issued / purchased by you) doesn't make you wrong.

When we travel in train so many people travel besides our ticket berth that doesn't mean that we know them very well!

Rediff is wrong to show this picture of Shakshi in the front page of this article, they are baised and trying to impose their biased journalism (paid article) to people, which is wrong and deplorable.

Also if you are not aware about someone's wrong activity at that point of time, you may talk to him as as a normal person as he was known bollywood figure and son of good personality. I thick rediff is trying to defame innocent people without verifiable info. and acting on someone's jealeous person's behalf.

If media were to apply your logic, no juicy news will appear on websites/ newspapers. Sakshi should have checked the background of all those sitting in the VIP stand!!!

Big names will not be out.

The spot fixing case is closed now with couple of people (small fries) arrested. The news in Canada radio is that the entire episode started with the raid of Ekta Kapoor and Jitendra. There some incriminating documents on fixing were found that landed the prize catch of the 3 RR players.

The names of MI players will never come off for obvious reasons. The finals between CSK and MI was decided more than 2 months ago.

That was 100% fixed. No international bowler can do that, its almost impossible. Thats the only thing you don't do off the last ball of a match

So why are they not arresting RP Singh for the dropped catch and no ball. Why is he a saint and naughty Sreesanth a culprit? Why not arrest those that gave RP the "money"?

The man largely responsible for India's world cup victory in 2011. Hey moderator, please be fair and publish photos of Vindoo Dara Singh with SRK, Bhajji etc. Entire bollywood has connections with underworld and why is Indian police and media silent about it?

yaaaaaawn......it is still not clear to me as to why Pakistan dropped so many sitters from Sachin in Semifinals and why Srilanka didn't really fightback in finals.........do we have to really believe that 2011 world cup win is a real victory?

ICC should order a probe into the World Cup 2011 win? Sreesanth was picked only for the finals dropping Ashwin who was successful till then, even though Wankhede pitch aids spin.
