Re: Legalize betting

Even where betting is legal, fixing of any form is illegal! There is a difference between the two.
1. Cricket has become a game for money and not really the sport. All those involved in the game aspire to play or manage the sport only exist to make money...Money drives cricket to go for taking risk.
2. Crave for making money leading most cricketers including cricket boards, IPL owners and business houses to amass wealth or fortunes...this easy money making avenue attracting black money.
3. Money power making players loose sportsmanship. Players openly cheating, rather than competing...
4. Sreesanth & team are really disgracfull and if found guilty should be banned for life, but with heavy fine..
I can not understand that why so much, blind importance is given to Cricket match instead of economic developments and other problems etc. of our country ...?
while going with police.. I think they should be taken with open faces publicly in front of media, so that they can face the people all around and also permitted to people, if anyone in the public wants to spit on them. That will be the most painful for them
....in the spot/match fixing should be aware that they are inadvertently helping terrorist activities.
The millions earned by these match fixers for their bosses in Dubai are used in terrorist activities in India, mostly. So these cricketers are helping fund terrorists.
I think if police spend this much time in tapping / listening phone calls of politicians in 2g, 3g or coal gate or railway scam.....the value involvement will be far more bigger then this. This is nothing but diverting public's attentions to new smaller issues then bigger issues.
