by Jps Sahni on Jul 04, 2013 02:07 PM

For the past 3 decades great leader like Pawan Kumar Bansal has very neat and clean image and was just framed in for no fault on his count. One should also look at his past 30 years of great work done for country and Chandigarh city.

No ters need be shed for Bansal's sacking. He deserved it.If positions at the level of board members are filled by accepting hefty bribe how can one expect honesty from such officials? Won't he have to make good his investment within the short tenure ? And how does he do it except by indulging in dishonesty in procurement, recruitment etc?
This episode indicates that the posts were being filled up all along only this way. Perhaps all positions in Railway were being filled up the same way. Govt should institute a thorough investigation into this

It is logical to assume that a person buying a Railway Job, would be first interested to get back his costs ASAP and then make even more money. That could only harm the railways as the costs would go up and worse sub-standard materials could be used.

There were a whole lot of "Economists" who castigated Mamta Banerjee for her stand against fare hike in Railways. These Economists were hugely supported by the Media as well. Their logic was that the Railways need money for "modernisation". After the corruption exposed against the (ex) Railway Minister, it could be said that no amount of fare hike would suffice to make Railways profitable. Sadly all those anti-Mamta and pro-hike voices are totally silent.

You got to maintain the Clean Image!!!
by deepak on May 11, 2013 11:17 AM

If Mr.Bansal has such a clean image and his family misuses it.....How is that the bribe was paid and Mr.Mahendra Kumar was elevated to the post of the Member (electrical) in railways..

If he had no links with his nephew business...how that was his Nephew was able to promote Mr.Mahendra Kumar to this post!!!

Public cannot be this foolish to believe such tales!!!!!

Sacking was too late....
by anand on May 11, 2013 10:52 AM

Instead of spending valuable hours in RS & LS, if Soniaji had sacked these two ministers, the stock of UPA would have gone through the roof. The highest ever.. But alas... the slow minded and soft spoken Singh saab, made it now rock bottom...
