Dung is dung...mo matter how beautifully packaged or how many gallons of perfumed poured on it, it's still dung...no matter how much spin is put on it by the venal Cabal of Corruption.
No matter how well it's packaged and how much perfume poured in it, crap still smells... and this crap from the venal Cabal of Corruption stinks to high heaven...no matter how much spin they put on it.
any statistics are available to prove that Indian Americans seek a distinct identity because they are ignored by white Americans:
No study using proper statistical methods may have been done (at least not any that have been published to my knowledge).
But there have been innumerable write ups by Indian observers of the Indian American community that support this view.
These articles keep appearing in 'The Hindu', 'Frontline', 'Outlook',even in 'The Times of India'.
The authors draw on their experiences in dealing with expat Indians in the US and their independent views roughly converge in this matter.
One author (Pulapre Balakrishnan) also gave figures published by the RBI on how much money Indians in the US have paid into the party accounts of the Congress and the BJP. He also referred to payments made into the accounts of religious and quasi-religious organisations in India (the VHP has a gigantic lead over all other organisations in this matter). He also contrasted this with the nature of donations made by Chinese Americans. The latter were more disposed to contributing handsomely towards social and economic investment in China.
According to him, the only probable reason why Indian Americans (he identifies the upper middle class members of the American Indian community as particularly disposed in this manner) root in such intense fashion for parties/organisations back in India is their innate desire to retain a distinct identity for themselves.

He quotes different anecdotes to suggest that such an intense desire for an identity completely independent of their association with the US environment stems primarily from the general indifference that their primary host - the white native American - has always had towards the Indian American community.
There is a significant segment among the Indian Americans which is constituted of people drawn from the very best India has produced in various fields of human endeavour (technology, medicine, law, humanities....). This segment has by and large been very successful in America and is consequently very secure financially also. However, it has also always remained miffed that mainstream American society has in general never let it into their inner social circles or into the elite. It is this 'denial' of the 'ultimate recognition' that, according to Balakrishnan and numerous others, makes many affluent Indian Americans try so hard to have a significant say in matters back in India!
The logic - one that has often been ridiculed by many writers and commentators - appears to be that an Indian American is entitled to the very best in India as a kind of compensation if he is denied anything that he wishes to have in the US!
This appears to be a fairly abstract theory but one that is easy to understand!

your indians, if you are, are doing very well in USA. If your ilk is not happy, smoke more.

As I said earlier, if you are all that uncomfortable with what I write, you have the option of ignoring it and moving on!
Rediff should avoid useless articles. W know it is paid by Congress for Anti-Modi compaign, but at least some ethics should be there. It seems totally sold out in Congress's hands! SHAME ON REDIFF!
Kangress CBI, sickulars, paid media have become overtly active, what with raids on DMK for withdrawing support, fabricated anti-Modi news, full page blowups of Gandis, Manmorons, Dickys etc. etc.
