i am 200% sure why india always fails in its foreign policy matters. It is because of non functioning embassies and consulates we have in other countries and to top it, a totally dysfunct and good for nothing MEA in new delhi.
they never seem to steer the bilateral policies based on the political developments in those countries. A static foreign policy is like a grandmother trying to play football from her wheelchair
how many more mellinia under such arm chair diplomats who profess cat on the wall approach. india should realise sooner or later, that its non-alignment policy or neutral approach is its greatest foreign policy disaster. one should acknowledge that waheed is brought by chinese to wedge out indians and it could be a great force multiplier if chinese navy vessels can dock right across the shores of india.
india should not broker anything. it should flex its muscle and evict waheed at all costs. for so many years of assistance to maldieves will come to no avail if china reaps the fruits of indian labour.

the reason is our ambassadors and foreign affairs ministry slumbering till our hands are burnt.
nobody prepares dossiers of political situations and key players in their respective countries of operation and send them to MEA in new delhi. even if somebody judiciously does that, the rrroooguess in delhi have much time in corruption rather than analyze ground realities and steer the foreign policy or bilateral policy with that country.. i say most unprofessional civil services
None of our neighbours care about India. Whether its China, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives.... nobody either respects or is scared of India.
This speaks volumes of our non-existent foreign policy.
Just see how Italy treated us... they just lied & did not even care about any consequences. Would they have done the same with China/USA/UK/France/Germany/Russia/Australia etc etc ??
We cannot expect any serious matter or respect from our neighbours so longs manmohansing and sonia are r uling the country dancing to the tune of america italy and ambanis
If just two ordinary soilders of a little country like Italy can make fool Indian government and judicary as well and can get away with it, no wonder Indians have become laughing stocks in the Indian Ocean region.
Since laughing stocks cannot be taken seriously , no wonder Maldeev has started to stop respecting Indians.

don't worry ..soon SC will scold Italian ambassador and India will send dossiers to Italy to get the marines back.
