conterversial pope
by SREENIVAS on Mar 17, 2013 09:17 AM  | Hide replies

Present Pope started his innings with controversy! His views on Falkland islands -strongly condemned by Prime Minister of U.K.David Cameroon ; should not the religious leaders remain apolitical? or because POPE is elected he is already in politics?

UK always follow the policy of criticising popes because they are the people who protested. The queen of england is a protestant hence do not follow pope orders.

I hope the new Pope will be able to bring some solace to the victims of sexual abuse and bring true spirituality among his followers .Also hope he will not act as a super agent of conversion. My best wishes to Pope Francis.

I think we should not be raising expectations to very high level. What a pope can do, he will do. Beyond that he has no control in the real order of the world. Offenders will be there, and supporters of offenders will be there there. Pope cannot do anything on that.

Reasoning is always importent before criticizing other faiths. No faith will last long unless it brings happiness in people.Force and mischievous conversions and brainwashing to hold converts will never see success,it is only love, compassion and human touch alone binds the people to faith

Mother Theressa,St.Fransisco and all these revered saints brought laurels to Christianity.Bible may have remarks over other faiths but these saints served all faiths and remained in the minds and souls of all oppressed and deceased. The greatness of Jesuits will be remembered forever as long as they don't meddle in narrow politics. In Andhra pradesh unfortunately one political party headed by Catholics is misguiding and provocating public in name of religion which is totally against basic ethics and Church should restrain from such things
