She worked in a greek restaurant (at what post I don't know, may be a low profile post)from 1966 to 1969 in London and also studied in Cambridge University during that time. She worked in the restaurant to pay tuition fees of the university as her family does not have strong financial background. This is just like what we Middle Class Indian do, nothing wrong in that.

Education is a costly affair in the West, where most of the guys and girls are in the self-financ ing mode to gain academic achieve ments.Hence there is nothing wrong in doing some dish washing in some restaurants to earn some cash to sustain yourself. But i do not think Indians go to the extent of working in a restaurant.

"But i do not think Indians go to the extent of working in a restaurant." >Quite removed from reality. 'In the West', many Indian students supplement their income in restaurants, supermarkets, or in Bollywood dance troupes. In India, I've met the same, plus auto drivers, in Delhi, Mumbai. - ajanta

she didnt do anything wrong; the mistake was of the one who fell in love with her; Most foolish mistake was of those who made him wear the cap of his mom, when se died.

Can you please refer to internet before you make such statements.
Read through Sonia's page on Wikipedia. In section "Early Life" it is mentioned she was working at the Greek restaurant as a waitress. Whether it is true or not, IMO it is not something to be ashamed of. It is a legal thing to work and she was studying in Cambridge and working as well, that's all.

SG 'NEVER' stressing again 'NEVER' studied at Cmbridge. This is what she tried to fool Indians with, but was exposed by Subramanian Swamy and had to retract in an affidavit to Election Commission. Unfortunately, he did not press charges on her after that.

Further, she spent the entire childhood in a n.unn.ery as her father could not find a decent job after being released by R0usssians who caught him as a part of Natzsi POW during second world war.
