If the mighty Indian government could not force the tiny Maldivian government to reverse decision on tendering, do poor jihadis have a chance?
This is a paid, planted news to demonise this rich Muslim nation (two times richer by PPP) and curb tourism from India.
Such amateur tactics will help keep Indian citizens ignorant but will encourage Sri Lanka and Maldives to team up and side with Western and Chinese businesses more.

If you are Maldivian than you should be nationalistic, there is no need to mix in religion here, because China is equally brutual on its "Chinese Turkistan" and equally friendly with Pakistan. I think ur mixing global lines here and i hope u continue to do it, that makes it very easy for India !!
99% Jihad news is fake.Those who propogate it has hidden agenda. Just like war for oil in Iraq. Created stories killed a leader(though despot)and destroyed a nation only to control oil to rule whole world including India.

yeah, the jihadis are ALL innocent, perhaps according to you. the truth is usually somewhere around i nthe middle. the jihadis get a free press from liberals or left wing nuts. so for a healthy dose of reality, we need all sides of the story - however far fetched or fancy it might seem. over the long run we'll know whats going on exactly.

I think it is a plan of U.S. and European countries to first finance the people thru terror organization and then release the news thru newspapers etc. create fear in the mind of developing & underdevelop countries and sell its weapons so that they will get dollars and euro. See for example India and Pakistan, North Korea & South Korea, Arabs and isreal, China & Japan, and all the african countries which are unstable so these US and European government can loot these countries as african countries are rich in mineral and oil. I think this is a plan from U.S. & European countries.
Our Foreign Policy has a lot of scope for improvement, to say the least. India should have taken a pro-active role in SriLanka by convincing the LTTE to bargain for rights in exchange for laying down arms. On the other hand we have lost face with our IPKF being decimated by LTTE and then overtly supporting the LTTE to please TamilNadu politicians. When finally the LTTE was liquidated by the SriLankan army, we have lost out on all fronts. This is the result of nothing but weak-kneed and rudderless foreign policies. Do not repeat it with Maldives!!!

How true!Despite winning decisively in 1971 war,we achieved nothing. We do not have good relation with any of our neighbours because of our wrong & weak foreign policies. Even a country like Maldives is able to threaten us.
