INDEED It is a NATIONAL shame
by nitmohan on Jun 28, 2013 10:47 AM

that common needs are sold

It is a shame that common basic needs are sold by the government in public places after 65 years of Independence.

For easing and for urinating you have to pay in Railway stations and bus stands.

This is our government. When a railway or bus ticket is purchased by a person, he should be eligible to get every basic need of human being irrespective of his status, till he completes his journey.

At Railway Stations and Bus stands,
they are looting public in the name of providing parking facility to public.

Shameless government with useless leaders & their autistic followers.

Dams are not bad…Excess of anything is bad.

Price has to be paid, one way or another, we just got to prioritise, what we want? and at cost of what?

What we got to assess is, how much electricity is enough for us ? and how much price is necessary and reasonable for electricity generation?, in terms of risk to humans and nature.

Anand Shankar doesn't has clue about how Indian regulation works. JayPee associates can buy these regulators in a hours and all the regulations will be covered with money bags. All the Indian corporates exploit in same way. Just look at the way we acquired the land for various reasons, be it for Real Estate or for the Oil industry complex. DLF, Reliance, TATA, GMR,Sahara and many mining companies across India everyone has broken the environment regulations in the name of better India. Andhra delta region is spoiled by reliance industries and no one puts that on even news. People were paid hopeless amounts in the name of land acquisition and these corporates make crores out of it. Totally, India is sold out to corporates and these corporates invested in media companies and they suppress all the bad news that might come out.

What is wrong, if an industrialists work for personal/company benefit. He pays taxes on each and every item, which is around 30-50% of total receipt, but what about corrupt money which govt. servants and Ministers get, where is that money, what they pay out of that. Till we punish these corrupts double or hang, things are not going to be sorted out.

Dams/power houses
by arungopal agarwal on Jun 27, 2013 12:45 PM

To feed 125 crore population and to produce electricity in mass scale, these are essential elements, anyone opposing it, is actually not understanding the ground reality. Even all the rivers cannot be linked without such process.
Somehow basic correction, none of the political party has taken i.e. population control, rather all ill educated always blaming environmental problems.
