Our problem is we keep blaming each other & always remain in mode of denial. What ever has happened has happened. We do feel sorry but are our politicians ready to improve things now? Can we start planting trees on our mountains in real big way?Stop the use of plastic to save our land? Can we become more aware of the environment now? Not only for Kedarnath but across the country.Hey Netas stop politics & start working! people wld recgnise the work if you do it.
crores of rupee are spending on the weather predciation ,,if still they cant forecast weather in exact location where chances are high and give information like '' heavy rain fall & cloud brust warning locations then no need to spend on these useless things ..throw them out ...
being a small state, it has become vulnerable to greedy contractors. it is pretty easy to manage small number of MLAs than group of large MLAs. So many Hydro electric projects were sanctioned across the river by earlier BJP government. The entire spiritual land became grazing ground for families of politicians from other states as well as nation wide contractors. The eco imbalance has taken place in last five years. BJP opposed eco balancing notification of congress because it wants to protect the contractors from whom it ate lot of money. The very first step of forming a separate state was a blunder. UP never allowed so much exploitation when uttara khand was part of it. They used to call it as spiritual land and that Ganges should be allowed to flow through freely as it is goddess instead of jailing the river by putting hundreds of blocks. The result is that Ganges reacted angrily. The tragedy is that the politicians responsible for her woos escaped. At least now let centre take over and make uttara khand as union territory. Help would have flowed on the same day instead of waiting for fur to five days to take a decision whether to send risk teams or not. The centre- state lethargic beaurocracy making from & to and to @ fro round trips on silly issues made matters worse. Further small state does not have resources to cope up with such situation. let centre act immediately to make it in to UT

How are locals benefited by making it a union territory? Atleast now the locals have some control in electing their representatives and chief minister. As a UT you will have to deal with any Lt Governor appointed by the central government.
That Lt Governor will enjoy all privileges without being answerable to the people directly. Lt Gov will be answerable only to his or her bosses in Delhi. That is even worse.
mp chitrakut stronger made mandir and shop outside satInsuiya ashram and put marble on natural water resource with madakni bank, they cut tree, area was under forest , but were they go when tree cut and structure made, I was try to give news to lokal paper ster news , but they never did
There is a Hydro Power project called Tehri Dam close to Kedarnath, the huge lake is spread in around may be 50 square km.
I used to visit the area quite often, after the Dam has become operational, I have noticed few new water fountains and streams have sprung up in other side of mountains, 20 to 25 kilometers away.
I think the nearby mountains may be soaking the stranded water due to which mud and rock in them is becoming soft. If that’s the case then we can expect more huge landslides in future.
For future development, I think Government should not hold so much water close to dense population centres or tourist places, because any disaster could mean huge lose of life and property.
For people living in the area, considering the high risk of landslides due to softened up mountains, I think they should not built houses on top or bottom of the sharply edged mountains, but instead should built on gently sloping valleys, between mountains.

These are indirect cause, but actually sinners are punished by God and they will receive another body.
