rediff says: "Bihar has long had the lowest police-population ratio in India, presently at 67 (as on December 31, 2012, according to National Crime Records Bureau), as against a fairly dismal national average of 138." Literally translated, it means 67 out of 68 persons in Bihar, and 138 out of 139 elsewhere, are policemen.

How many "security" agencies do we have? Even according to the news report, there are R&AW, CBI, IB, National Security Agency, and National Investigation Agency. These have subordinate agencies, and there are also the State security agencies, and the main military intelligence. This plethora of personnel is failing to provide us adequate security. Will someone in the government tell us what is going on?

govt is pro-terror. How can agencies and military feel they have the mandate to protect us?

@rediff:
1. There is a well known phrase for "culpable neglect" -- CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE.
2. Who told you Potassium was one of the ingredients used in the explosive mixture? Potassium is not easily available, and it will spontaneously catch fire, especially if the atmosphere is humid. It CERTAINLY CANNOT BE KEPT TOGETHER WITH SULPHUR OR AMMONIUM NITRATE. A schoolchild will tell you that it cannot be Potassium. Probably some potassium salt (chlorate or nitrate) was used. It means that the staff of rediff has less education than a schoolchild. The ignorance of media persons, as also "netas" is utterly bewildering. Or, if the information came from the investigation agencies, it shows that they are utterly incompetent to carry out any such investigation, and one trembles to think that the nation's security is in their hands.
