The article is all about....
by Jaganniwas Iyer on Nov 01, 2016 02:09 PM

......I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I and I....There should be a separate section for such self-promotional binges. Seems anything goes in the media these days.

This is not a major issue....
by Ananthakrishnan on Jul 20, 2013 03:53 PM

She is an american citizen now, but she is still maintaining that her heart is Indian.

This is not a major issue, as many other american citizens from other nations have said the same thing , as germans, italians, hispanics and so on.

America is indeed a land of opportunity, compared to India which is constricted by bureaucratic apathy, socialism and red tape.

With her talents she can create her fortune in america with much less effort than in india.

Also america has a large indian diaspora and indian community, and hence she will indeed be not completely out of touch with her people.

The training , skills and fortune she can acquire in america can also be used by her in an Indian ngo , as many western people of Indian origin does.

A good example is Lord Swaraj of britain in this regard.

what a cheap and showoff writeup!!! Unbelievable!!
by Amar Bhat on Jul 12, 2013 09:42 AM

It is hard to imagine someone can be so childish and immature as the writer of this article. Just reading her such as the ones below is enough to prove what kinds of characters she and her husband are! What a piece of work this people are!

" ... After a first date at Tom’s Restaurant of Seinfield and Suzanne Vega fame, where we spent hours over giant milkshakes, we headed pretty fast to a huge Indian wedding at the Indian ambassador’s residence in DC"

"My coach, A J Jallaludin, who took it upon himself to coach me for no other reason than that he saw a spark in a young 13-year-old and molded my skills to deliver the gold medals ..."

DISGUSTING person!!!

Mera Dil hai Hindustani?
by Sameer Bhagwat on Jul 11, 2013 12:44 PM  | Hide replies

Mera Dil hain Hindustani? but passport hai US stani ,Social security hain US stani . If US goes to war with India who will you fight for? remebr the oath you took to defend your country when you took citizenship? Meaning you will fight for US against India.

The true line is Mera sub kuch hain US stani only for name sake Hindustani. Don't self promote , truth is bitter, you gave up being Indian and your kids will never be Indian. So why bother?

People change their citizenship because your country fails to protect its NRI citizens in other countries. US UK austrailia takes care of its citizens. Deep down in you are always going to be indian only whter wherever you live

An Indian in America

The strange thing about this column is that it doesn't mention why she changed her citizenship. I would like to know the real reason.

Typical marketing MBA attitude
by Sonofindia on Jul 11, 2013 12:35 AM

Land of opportunities? Land of concrete jungle...
Forked tongued ,double speaking arrogant politicians like ours, but with some fairness and human kindness and ethics and morals.. Some...

We should be proud of her if she was in India... But getting your food water and education from this country, giving up citizenship and taking up a US cit... Gosh..Pathetic.. Money is the only criteria.. But one thing to accept... US throws a lot of good in you than bad. They are good in their own ways. Nothing like this great country "Bharat"... Land of temples and great saints.. Spiritual enterance to your life after..ofcourse it has been spoilt by these filthy politicians and corrupt babus... Their turns for punishment will soon come..

Lady, stop promoting and marketing yourself.. you are a Indian product...You are just a naturalized citizen..But your Genes are India.. Stop pretending that you are a ABCD..and stop floating around like Casper..

Yet to see a couple this arrogant and self-congratulatory
by Amar Bhat on Jul 10, 2013 10:06 PM

This girl and her husband are simply a piece of work! If you look at their background and skills, nothing warrants where they are or what they are talking about. It is unfortunate that in today's world you can get by this long BSing.

It is shocking that such garbage has been allowed for publication. At least, this article clearly tells everyone the real ability, perspective and motive of this couple!!

Citizenship is personal choice
by Vineet Nagar on Jul 10, 2013 09:59 PM

But often people who proclaim to love India the most are the first one to renounce its citizenship when an opportunity arises. She is not alone -- all my neighbors so called "love my India" denounced the citizenship very day they become eligible.
