Pujya Bapji is severely misquoted
by Anil Hingorani on Jan 08, 2013 12:35 PM  | Hide replies

People have not understood Pujya Bapuji's message at all and have joined the bandwagon of popular thoughts. People should first listen to original video and exactly Asaram Bapuji said. You will realize the vast gap between what he said and what HIGHLY EDUCATED AND SOPHISTICATED MEDIA reported and opinions of likewise educated and sophhisticated netas and celebrities on this statement.
Secondly, what is wrong is suggesting that the girl in question should have pleaded to rapist by calling him a brother? Don't we treat many non related people as brothers or sisters in daily life and have a feeling of kindness towards them? Is it so outrageous to suggest a moral technique to manage a difficult situation? I am sure, most of our indian good cultured families teach brotherhood sanskar to children. Is it not possible that one or more of rapist could have spared her on emotional grounds? Even if there is 10% chances of this working, the suggestion is a great suggestion.
My suggestion to all here is to analyse the statements made by Bapuji on actual merit, realize how media disctorted it and presented it to you. In my opinion you should be fuming on what media has fed to you.

Ironically in this country, people like arundhati roy are spared for talking real sedition on Kashmir, netas are spared for taking brotherhood with severly enemy countries but a life saving suggestion based on morality is taken into wrong sense by such educated common man of India due to some gaddar media.

To add, media and netas are not making a hue and cry about incompetant sheila dikshit who cannot manage one union teriiroty which is renowned as rape capital of india. Can you imagine a capital of one of most important country's of world is a rape capital? How about Akbaruddin Owaisi's anti india hate speeches are they not worth national attention? is media scared or bribed to limit itself to mute reporting of these anti india activities?

What is the e-mail ID of the forum (Verma?) that is looking into the issue of stricter anti-rape laws? I suppose suggestions could be sent electronically!

Aasa Ram

India is a country of diversity, Aasa Ram is right for the society he represents, why to make hue and cry, can you stop muslims not to wear Burqa, similarly India lives in villages, can anyone stop their thinking.
Only few white color ladies are trying to impress all western style civic sense on TV and other places, without knowing the ground reality.

Our society is made of diverse culture but none supports the heinious crime committed.

The fact remains that large majority of spiritual leaders of all faith are not well read people. They come from background where there have seen deprivation. They do not use whatever knowledge they have to educate the society and are selfish and greedy.

They including Asa Ram are not and can not be our role model.

And where, by the way, is that new-age saviour Kejriwal? Or is he a one-issue star? What does his party have to say about this issue? What is his stand? He is increasingly looking like Raj Thackeray on major issues. Invisible.

Heard some bits of it.
by Nol I on Jan 08, 2013 09:02 AM

The bits that I heard are scandalous. Probably, were I to contextualise it, it would make sense. But nevertheless, is Asaram so ignorant as to not know the effects of uttering such balonese when the media was present? Considering that he regularly uses the same media to propagate his pravachans?

Precaution is better than cure my dear.dOn't u take precaution in the night not to take isolated street. What is wrong in suggesting women to take precaution.I would suggest them to learn martial arts , so that they can teach such persons a lesson for life. All women should follow become rani's of jhansi
