make their money from ceaselessly vending pulp versions of news are revealed in their true colours on occasions such as this.

Eg. : The TV channel "Headlines Today" has been going on full throated about the Delhi rape incident almost 24 hours a day ever since it sensed that this incident has caught the fancy of the Indian middle class.

News/features/debates/interviews on this channel have been so blaring and over-the-top in nature that an unwary viewer might imagine that rape, especially murderously cruel rape was hitherto unheard of in India!

The anchor appears to have gone completely nuts judging from the way he has been braying/bleating/interjecting/cutting short debaters in his high-pitched tone/generalising/sermonising in between breathless questions................................and all this has been going on non-stop for more than 2 weeks now!

So much for balanced, insightful and dispassionate reporting that such channels doubtless lay claim to!
